    everytime I update to 5.1.1 the whole site goes down. I have to restore from snapshot to bring the site back up. should I just leave the site on 4.9.10?

    Yes sir I was able to find the IP that was pointing to the homepage and changed that to the domain name and it is working.

    As soon as I say it is working i find that when I click the home tab on the site it takes me back to the private IP address. Thoughts?

    Ok. I just searched and updated the wp-options table and it changed 7 cells. I think this was it. Now it looks like everything is working as it should!

    Can you tell me how to stop each page from opening in a new tab? 🙂

    Hello Steve,
    Thanks for the advice. I have two locations I have found the IP and that is:
    WordPress Address (URL)
    &
    Site Address (URL)
    When I change the IP to the domain name in those fields I cannot get to the site. What files should I be searching with this plugin?

    Yeah i host t his myself on my own server, so I don’t have anyone to ask for help which is why I am here. I get error: Installation failed: Unable to locate WordPress content directory (wp-content) which I thought was close to what you were describing.

    Thanks for the reply. Think I’ll create yet another site to see if I can get past all this. I am hosting the site on a Ubuntu 18.04 server and just need a good step by step guide to make sure I get it all setup correctly. Either that or a better solution than WordPress.

    My media looks different than what you describe above. I do not have anything that says “uploading files”. I am having the same issue when I try to install a new theme. This is a new build because I killed my last site trying to change the Maximum upload size from 2MB. Still don’t know how to adjust that, but…

    My media settings page looks like:

    Media Settings
    Image sizes
    The sizes listed below determine the maximum dimensions in pixels to use when adding an image to the Media Library.

    Thumbnail size Width 150

    Height 150
    Crop thumbnail to exact dimensions (normally thumbnails are proportional)

    Medium size Max Width 300

    Max Height 300

    Large size Max Width 1024

    Max Height 1024

    Organize my uploads into month- and year-based folders
