Anyway, I was able to solve it by transfering my site from a managed wordpress plan to a “normal” hosting plan.

I have already activated that option however it is not working yet.
I am using a custom theme. Do you think that it is because of that? Do I need to change somehting in the theme?

I was able to put the small language selector at a specific position of the site, by using the floating widget plugg-in. I will post my site as soon as it becomes available.
