I am still struggling with this [Not a valid template] error.
I have version 4.0.4 installed installed on two sites, one site does NOT give this error the other does..
On the site that gives the error I have done a full reset and also delete the plugin and reinstalled it, but I still get the same error.
I installed the new version 2.2.1 this morning which almost fixed the problems.
Under this version all existing HTML formatted log files were correct, BUT any new HTML emails sent are still shown in plain text only.

Other points to note are that all emails logged are only in plain text, hence you see all the tags..
The additional feature of a switch to enable default connection usage is off when loaded and it assumes the admin person knows about this extra feature. I suggest by default this should be switched on when plugin is activated.

Yes I also see emails in the logs in Plain Text Format..
I tried various things to understand the problem, and I decided to deactivate the plugin, but not delete it, then reactivate it. I did a test and it worked. I do not know why it work, but it did..
I suggest you try the same thing and see if yours starts working again?

In reply to: [bbp style pack] Subscription emails are not being sentI am getting a little confused myself being logged into my admin account where I get lots of emails unrelated to the forum. Perhaps I should setup a standard account to be sure of the results.
I use WP-SMTP so I can see the log of all emails which go out from the site and lots of people that subscribe and have posted did not get an email including me.
I did what you suggested and no email was received when deactivated or when subsequently re-activated your style pack.
I got one of the moderators to test and he did not get an email either.
I should also say that no changes to the settings were made to bbp style pack settings until the problem started when I enabled “Activate Subscriptions Management” and in item 3 — Roles to Email — All roles are checked (9 roles) except “Blocked” and “Spectator”
I was surprised that when I first went to “Activate Subscriptions Management” when researching the problem, it was not enabled. But your previous post implies that it does not need to be enabled.

In reply to: [bbp style pack] Subscription emails are not being sentAfter a recent update the “Subscribe” link disappeared from the forum which would normally appear at top right of a thread.
I went into “Subscriptions Management” and noted that it was not enabled, so I checked the box and saved it and the subscriptions link returned at the top of the threads. So you could now toggle between “Subscribe” and “Unsubscribe” as you could do previously.
However, when subscribe was enabled on any thread and someone posted you did not get an email.
Well, this morning I tried again and to my delight it now is verified. I do not know what changed, but I have certainly not changed anything since my last post.
Nevertheless it is now working. Thank you for your support..

I deleted the entry and then added again yesterday, but I still had the problem and its the same today.
When I hover over the top of the entry it shows it correctly as you stated.

NO, I think the issue is with IONOS, but I have not received a solution yet.
Are you with IONOS?
I think more users may start reporting this..
Thank you for your feedback, so I must assume there is a problem at IONOS because if I click the Delete link next to _dmarc in the DNS settings, then it comes back and says “Do you really want to delete _dmarc.abbottsann.com” meaning that it correctly stored the host name BUT did not display it.
Also, clearly it knows I am in the abbottsann.com DNS settings page and therefore assumes the _dmarc is for that domain name.
How exactly does your Authentication code read the DNS of abbottsann.com
