When will Woocommerce and *all* Woo plugins have this resolved?
I have a client’s website WP Admin slowed to a crawl with all of these errors-A few of which are Woo-relatedThey would be…

formidable-pdfsWoocommerce calls Formidable too early as well, but I’ll take that up with them.

In reply to: [Autoptimize] Autoptimize stops caching?I believe I have solved my mystery. I’m thinking that the Autoptimize setting “Also optimize for logged in editors/ administrators?” action has changed recently?
As I recall, in the past when it was unchecked, Autoptimize would ignore the WP admin but still cache the front end. If I made changes in the back end, I always needed to empty the cache to make sure my changes showed on the front-end.
It now seems that when unchecked, Autoptimize doesn’t cache the admin nor the front-end.
When checked, Autoptimize caches both the admin and frontend.
When not logged in, Autoptimize always caches.
Have things changed?

In reply to: [Cache Enabler] Deprecated PHPI’m using the current Version 1.8.15
Hi Adam,
Well, I’ve had it happen just once more on a different client’s site.
However, I have Site Kit installed on over a dozen sites (and on a number of different hosts) and universally the Site Kit Dashboard is universally extremely slow to load… As much as two or three minutes and multiple “retrys” on the different dashboard sections.
I’m still trying to figure out why… I’m thinking Site Kit may be running afoul of the security on the sites. Things seem to improve if I whitelist the IP Site Kit is using to contact Google. (I know it’s not a static IP address-Was just testing)
I use the Shield (Pro) Security plugin and also the 8G Firewall from Perishible Press, if that helps.

In reply to: [EWWW Image Optimizer] Scheduled Optimization and RegenerationHere you go… I am working on my client’s existing site. It’s been around for some time and has some 12k of images.
I’m installing a new theme which of course has differently sized images than the old theme.
I don’t want to “just” optimize the existing images. I need to both regenerate (to create the new thumbnails) and optimize the existing images.
I will probably have to do it as a two-stage process… Regenerate all of the images (with oprimization turned off) and then as a second process do a scheduled optimization of all of the images. Doable, but a pain.
If I tried to regenerate and optimize all 12k of images in one fell swoop , I’d expect to run into “out of memory” errors.
My thought was if a scheduled optimization could trigger a regeneration followed by optimization (as if you were doing it manually in the Media Library), resource usage could be minimized.Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Seriously Simple Speakers] Is this plugin abandoned?I gather that this isn’t a priority for them. 🙁
Also, my security plugin reports…
The plugin developer chose not to use SVN tags for this version, so actions such as file repair and file diff aren’t available.
It would be nice if that was fixed as well.- This reply was modified 3 years, 3 months ago by kendawes.

In reply to: [Seriously Simple Speakers] Is this plugin abandoned? My client is not having any problems with your plugin.
My problem is that because the plugin has not been updated in a long time, security plugins (like the one I use, “Shield”) see the lengthy lapse in any updates as a sign of an abandoned plugin and therefore a possible security risk… Even though there is no demonstrable security risk.
As someone who maintains many WP sites, dealing with these security flags is a pain.
Might I respectfully suggest a bump in the version of the plugin so that these types of warnings are avoided?
As for the lack of response to questions in the WP Support forum… I just find that rude.
Butterfruit,
I don’t know which plugins you use for WordPress security, but I’d recommend the “Shield” plugin. I use it for my clients’ sites and they rarely get spam from their forms.
It has a setting (in Integrations) to block spam in WPForms (specifically) without using any Captcha. It’s also a great security plugin!
