In reply to: Stealth login issue, cant open wp-adminIt sounds like the plugin is throwing an error of some sort.
You’ll probably need to FTP into your site, and remove the plugin ( or just rename it).
This should allow you to get back into the admin panel.
To find out the exact cause of the error, you may need to contact the plugin author and give them more details

In reply to: Add/Edit Posts Through Ajax?I actually had considered this… like a front-end system, except it would be in the backend, and I could put it in a lightbox if I wanted ( which my original idea consisted of ).
Thanks for your input Brian… and the reminder about nonce’s

In reply to: Add/Edit Posts Through Ajax?Update / Clarification:
I’m working on a calendar plugin that is in the WP Admin Dashboard only( ie. no public facing access )
When an admin clicks on an existing calendar entry, should open ( via Ajax ) the edit post dialogue ( post.php )
And if the calendar is clicked where there is no entry, should open the new post dialogue ( post-new.php ) with the date/time included to pre-populate.
I can’t find anything that does anything remotely close to this, so any tips, tricks, pointers or examples would be great.
Thanks
Matt

In reply to: [Edit Flow] P3 Reports Edit Flow Slowest PluginIxodie –
What Frederick is saying is that Edit Workflow doesn’t have any forward facing code ( ie. what visitors see ), so your sites load up times to them will not be effected.
So any impact by Edit Workflow would be seen only by administers as they publish posts.
So are you actually seeing anything that is impacting your ability to publish?
That would be more useful to the dev’s to help locate any actual bugs/performance enhancing requests.

In reply to: [Edit Flow] Drag & Drop Feature RequestYou can drag some post statuses, but not all … scheduled is one in particular, and I think there are other statuses as well that can’t be moved…
As far as published – there are many deadlines that change requiring a post to need to be rearranged…
so leaving it open to the individual admin, either through general options, or role restricted ones, would be better than to blanket make an assumption about how/why someone would/should need to move posts around.
just my thoughts of course…
Actually, I’m thinking it has more to do with the content in the tables…
I shortened the headings a bit, and it fits better… in fact, I’m calling it good at this point, and since it was only on the portrait version of the phone, I’m 99% sure it’s a width of table issue.
Thanks for putting together such an awesome plugin that works, and is easy to use.
( And I’ve seen the support you provide on this forum – top notch!)
Correction on that… the dataTables_wrapper is there… I was looking at the source, and not the generated source… so I’m still a bit stumped on why I can’t get it to fit right…
How about just a category / tag filter ? so that we can show posts that are ONLY of a particular tag / category?
Another easy option would be to assign colors to each category, and assign that background color to the calendar post item
Another could be in the Screen Options dropdown, to have a checkmark for each category you want displayed…
There would need to be considerations for blogs that have tons of categories / tags ( I use about 10 categories and more than 100 tags ), and some tag/category names are really long ( I too am opposed to them showing as a name in the calendar ).
Anyhow, just my 2 cents on how to add categories into the calendar…

In reply to: [User Role Editor] Role not completely propagating…Hi Vladimir –
After trying your suggestion, I tried making the role all lowercase, and that appears to solve the problem…
It may make sense to allow roles to be case insensitive – or there may be a reason that they are not…
Matt
Excellent –
This is what I was looking for…I knew I’d seen it some where before but was at a loss.
Thanks so much – looks like it’s installed and working 🙂
I think I may have solved my own problem… in Amazon’s Cloudfront console, I needed to change “forward query strings” to Yes …
It appears to be working with your cache-busting appended string…
Thanks

In reply to: [Facebook] [Plugin: Facebook] Known issue with Social PluginsMatt Kelly – thanks for the updates and following up.
Everything was working well for a while, but in the last half hour, I’m not seeing anything again…
Not sure if it’s something I’ve done or not, but thought I’d throw it out there in case you’re collecting statistics on it again…

In reply to: [BulletProof Security] [Plugin: BulletProof Security] 403 / 500 ErrorsAhh… That answers it.
Looking at the site, all is well… it’s the monitoring sites that were freaking out…
I had friends around the globe confirm that the site is up, it’s just the monitoring sites…
So the 403 error is just from accessing it via curl or making HEAD requests…
THANKS SO MUCH! problem resolved!

In reply to: [BulletProof Security] [Plugin: BulletProof Security] 403 / 500 ErrorsExcellent.
I tried as you suggested. No network activation, and ONLY activated/installed on the main domain.
Same problem.
I’m on a linux / hostgator VPS with CGI …
This is a multisite with about 15 subdomains…
The error logs show nothing useful to me… any thing else I can look into or provide you with?
I had it uninstalled, but can reactivate for you if you think it would be useful.
EDIT: and I commented out the Options -Indexes as suggested
I have it turned on right now, and I’m looking at the logs… it appears that curl is showing a 500 error and downforeveryoneorjustme.com is showing a 403…
but I am getting legitmate 200’s, 404’s and 301’s in the mix, so I think that maybe it’s something with the way that curl and similar programs are calling?
I know that my own script that checks is showing that it’s down, but I’m able to access the site ( I assumed this was an admin user privilege )
oh wow – didn’t even realize that there was a PRO version…
Lot’s of neat things in there that aren’t in the FREE version… and for only $6, it’s a no brainer…
Thanks… and for others that may be looking for the PRO version, you can find it here:
