  • Hey @ehajder

I wanted to update this thread that in the meantime we have an app available to disable/hide these unwanted channels and you can find it here: https://apps.bigcommerce.com/details/18212

Be sure that you’re signed in to your BigCommerce store when visiting this link so you can install it directly. Once installed and in the app, you can click the three dots > Edit Channel Details > Uncheck “Enabled”, and Save to hide those.

    Hello @ehajder,

We have an internal engineering ticket for this exact issue, and I appreciate you voicing this. I’ve added to that ticket to include your experience, and I’ll update this post once I have more info.

    Hey there @carlosmedinilla,

Thank you for taking the time to review our plugin, and I appreciate the feedback. We’re committed to delivering a consistent WordPress experience for plugin users, and I wanted to follow up to see if we could get some of these concerns resolved.

I wasn’t able to find a thread like this on our Community group, so if you could share that link here or in a private message I can take a closer look! We do offer support through a few different channels like the one you mentioned, as well as via live chat, phone, and email. Please let me know if you’ve had trouble reaching out so we can help!

We’ve been working towards improving the compatibility of WordPress themes with our plugin to improve that aspect of the experience. If there’s a specific theme you’d like for us to pursue, feel free to let us know that as well 🙂

    Hello @ggus03,

I was able to find an internal engineering ticket describing this, where when testing if an event is fired when clicking AddToCart, none is returned. I don’t have an ETA, once I have more info though, I’ll be sure to update this post.

    Hello @mairabay,

After taking a look at this plugin and testing, I found the WCMp plugin was only designed for use with the WooCommerce plugin and won’t support functionalities our plugin provides. If it’s any consolation, you can list products from your BigCommerce store to other channels like Amazon and Facebook through our Channel Manager.

For your second question, I wanted to clarify that by “this plugin” you’re referring to the BigCommerce for WordPress plugin and that it does handle orders and payments through the BigCommerce store. You’ll have access to this information from the BigCommerce control panel exclusively, only the products and settings are found in the WordPress dashboard.

    Hello @ashdurham,

The errors you’re seeing aren’t something I’ve seen before with the plugin, so I’ll need to ask some follow-up questions to learn more. Were there any changes with the product that you’re re-syncing? Are other products able to sync changes without any difficulty? If you could provide the details of this product (or a URL to the store’s product page) we can try to replicate this behavior on a sandbox store.

    Hey there @crashy79,

I appreciate your taking the time to share your experience when contacting support, and I’m sorry that it was frustrating. Thanks for your feedback on how we can better support you and our plugin. We’re glad you see the value of the plugin and would also love to grow the community around it!

    Hello there @crashy79,

I’m not too familiar with this plugin and to see the behavior I tried adding the Wordfence plugin to a test site. I’m unfortunately not able to replicate the login screen reloading consistently or at all, and have some follow up questions to narrow down the cause.

Are there any other possible causes behind the login issue that you’re seeing such as other plugins or theme customization on the WordPress site? Could you also share your WordPress URL so that we can see what you’re seeing?

    Hello @vinautomatic,

I can understand where you’re coming from with this request as it would certainly make the synchronization process much more convenient, with how this plugin functions currently the category description data isn’t being sent for the WordPress site to display. I’m not finding any similar requests or reports like this and wanted to offer the next path forward with this.

If you think this is a feature that should be available natively in the BigCommerce platform, I would recommend posting your request in the Ideas area of the Community. Ideas is your place to request product enhancements, new features, or improvements to our support offerings. While there, you can also vote and comment on ideas proposed by other Community members.

    Hey there @myftcob,

This is certainly a strange behavior that I haven’t come across before, and I have a few follow up questions so that we can better understand why this is happening:

Have images imported smoothly in the past for you, or is this the first time you’re seeing this behavior? When going through the setup process did you connect the WordPress site to the BigCommerce store automatically or with the “API Account Credentials” option?
If possible, could you attach a .txt file of the data found on your WordPress dashboard under BigCommerce > Settings > Diagnostics? These sections will be called WordPress Installation, Server Environment, and BigCommerce Plugin. Please also include the error logs found in Diagnostics > Get Diagnostics > Error Logs in another .txt file.

Once I have these details I should have a clearer path towards finding what’s going on. 🙂

    Hey @vinautomatic,

The shortcodes available with the current plugin are limited to a few areas, primarily for products and a few other forms. If you’re using the third-party email marketing integration MailChimp you can use their available plugin so that you can collect interested parties email addresses, which will have that effect. https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/mailchimp-for-wp/

    Hello @vinautomatic,

I can confirm that our WordPress plugin does support variant images once setup on your BigCommerce store https://support.bigcommerce.com/s/article/BigCommerce-for-WordPress-Supported-Apps-and-Features#supported-features

Set this up on your BigCommerce store and the functionality should appear in your WordPress site.

It’s worth calling out to others following this conversation that the thread you linked to pertains to options on a BigCommerce store. If you are unable to view variant images on your BC store, contact BigCommerce’s Technical Support team for help.
