In reply to: [Arbutus] Theme issueThanks for your reply, and sorry for responding so late as I was traveling.
Yes, Arbutus (by Automattic) is marked as the active theme. I created a Test Page and set it as Static. I also turned off the Coming Soon view. Next, I created a Test Post, but it fails to show up on the Homepage. What is being displayed looks nothing like the formatted Theme I should be seeing. I see a logo in the header section that should not be there, as the Theme template does not show any logo.
You indicate, “Themes do not bring their own demo content.”, yet I have images in the media folder that can with the ‘phantom’ theme, just as there were demo pages of About, several demo posts, etc, so that tells me that the ‘phantom’ theme that I cannot see came with demo content.
In summary, what my site is viewing, after following your instructions, does not appear formatted as the Arbutus Theme by Automattic shows.

In reply to: [Arbutus] Theme issueThanks for your response. There were no other themes other than the one I am trying to use. I did remove the pages and posts from what I now call the ‘phantom’ theme. I then cleared the cache. From there, I found how to upload the .zip files for my desired theme. Having done all of that, I now show nothing, which is still the ‘phantom’ site. No pages and no posts exist from my preferred theme. What can possibly be going on here? https://mleefoster.com

In reply to: Gallery page issue?Thank you Steven, that seems to be the issue. Now I just need to understand how so many of my images come into the Media Library as .tif files. I always export my images to my desktop as .jpg files before bringing them in.
Thanks for your help!

In reply to: Creating GalleriesThanks for your input. I don’t use Twenty* themes. I am using a custom theme from Meks, which I also use on a different site. With that site, there are no conflicts, and I can create a gallery without issue. The plug-runs on both sites are exactly the same. For some unexplained reason, the issue appears with this unlaunched site.
UPDATE: I disabled the Blue Host Plugin, which made the site go ‘live’. I didn’t notice this at first. I created the gallery after disabling, and initially thought it was the plugin that caused my issue. True, yes, but in so doing, it created a new issue – making the site go live. So, if I want to create a gallery before I am ready to turn the site on, I have to make it go live, create the gallery, then shut it down again (along with disabling the plugin…again. Someone needs to fix this issue. We should be able to create galleries without the site being live.

In reply to: Need Clean re-install of WordPress themeHi @jndungu
Thanks for your reply. I’m not sure what you mean by “all your files will be intact”. I thought I read somewhere that for a clean re-install, one would have to remove the wp-admin, wp-content, and wp-includes folders from within cPanel File Manager. Although I have not tried that yet, if I understand correctly, removing those folders will allow me to re-install wp as well as the themes and plug-ins. Does that sound correct?

In reply to: How to remove Pixelgrade accountThanks for your quick reply Steve. I was afraid that would be the answer. I hope they respond, although I don’t hold out much hope given their ‘radio-silence’.
