Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Polylang] [Plugin: Polylang] Translating widget titles doesn't workI have noticed the same thing on two sites. After some additional testing I found that if the original widget titles are in the default language they don’t show translated but if the strings are translated TO the default language it works.
Some kind of setting to exclude mobile devices would be most welcome.
Why not do the simple thing and add a new section under “Ad insertion mode/dynamic restrictions” to enable blocking of ads for certain user-agents. Then the blog admin can setup the appropriate user-agents depending on what mobile theme or mobile plugin that is used.
I have done some more checking regarding the problem with the All Posts page and the problem seem to occur if there is any other active plugin that outputs an extra column to the page. The following plugins are the ones used on the site in question that trigger the problem (whether any one by itself or all together):
Wordpress SEO by Yoast
SlimStat (with Add Posts column = Yes)
Add Link to Facebook
Page Columnist
Word StatsBtw, the “Cols” heading is from the Page Columnist plugin, I wasn’t aware before that that plugin also did output an extra column.
The translations loads as it should in v1.9. However only part of the translation is actually visible in the backend (concerns both the settings page and recipe input in posts). Most of it is still shown untranslated. I have tested this on two totally different WP installations with the same results.
See screenshots where i marked the untranslated parts yellow.
