In reply to: [GData Importer] [Plugin: GData Importer] Cannot Get Plugin to WorkAfter several days of my web host (Arvixe) troubleshooting the problem, here is the latest from their tech support:
“Hello,
I have re-installed firewall and now outgoing SSL connections are allowed from server. Now your wordpress page shows the error:
ERROR: DOMDocument cannot parse XML: DOMDocument::loadXML() [domdocument.loadxml]: Extra content at the end of the document in Entity, line: 25
This appears to be due to bad XML file that is being loaded. Can you please verify it?”

In reply to: [GData Importer] [Plugin: GData Importer] Cannot Get Plugin to WorkThanks for the reply Ankit. I changed my mistake of “password” to “pass” and now get the following:
ERROR: DOMDocument cannot parse XML: DOMDocument::loadXML() [domdocument.loadxml]: Premature end of data in tag html line 1 in Entity, line: 37
Thanks for your time helping this newbie figure it out…
Thanks for the link. I learned a little from what I read, but still am clueless about how to activate the Captchas function in the Contact form.
The link you pointed me to says, “To add a CAPTCHA into your contact form, you must utilize captchac and captchar form tags.”
How do I utilize form tags? Where do the tags get inserted?
It looks like I am having the exact same problem as you janper. Just downloaded NextGen Gallery and using WordPress 3.1.
I can’t get the drop down box for “Select or enter gallery” to operate either, but pasting the code in manually the post/page does work.

In reply to: 2010 Theme Background Missing in Firefox 3UPDATE:
This is only a guess as to how my friend’s pictures became corrupted, but as it turns out, my friend transferred his pictures from one Mac to another via USB flash drive and he suspects that he did not properly “Eject” the USB drive prior to removing it from the original PC and thus the files became corrupted.
Upon checking, the pictures on the original Mac uploaded to the WordPress site as a background, display correctly in Firefox.

In reply to: 2010 Theme Background Missing in Firefox 3ClaytonJames,
I really appreciate the time you have devoted to this matter! As it turns out a man going by “thesacredpath” on the the wordpress.com Themes forum discovered that the files I were uploading had some sort of corruption in them that prevented them from displaying in Firefox. He took the photo, loaded it in Photoshop and resaved it and it worked!
http://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/background-not-displaying-in-firefox-3?replies=7#post-565542The images I have been trying to use are images I got off my friend’s Mac running OS X 10.6.4 with iPhoto ’11 v9.0 (449).
I have now tried various photos from my own Windows Vista PC and they are all displaying properly in Firefox.
If I ever figure out what the exact corruption is that keeps my friend’s photos from displaying in Firefox, but allows them to display in IE and Chrome I will try to post an update to help out any people in the future that might run into this problem.

In reply to: 2010 Theme Background Missing in Firefox 3Since the original post, I have decided to try loading a background picture in the 2010 Theme directly on the WordPress Site and the same thing happens. It displays in Chrome and IE 8, but not in Firefox 3 on Windows.
This time I also tried it on Firefox 1.5 running on a Mac and it also doesn’t display the background. I have even tried using different images to no avail.
I am beginning to think this is a fundamental issue in WordPress 3.

In reply to: 2010 Theme Background Missing in Firefox 3This was not an upgrade, it was a fresh install via the webhost’s (www.ipower.com) vDeck 4 control panel.
