Hi @r0sc0,
Yes, this is possible, although it would depend on how GeoDirectory stores permissions for its custom post types.
With WP Adminify alone, you can customize the admin interface, menus, dashboard widgets, and visibility of backend elements, but it doesn’t provide granular content-level permissions for specific posts or listings.
For your use case, I’d recommend combining WP Adminify with our plugin, RoleMaster Suite.
Using RoleMaster Suite, you can:
• Create a custom “Virtual Assistant” role.
• Restrict access to only the GeoDirectory Listings and Events custom post types.
• Hide all unrelated WordPress admin menus and screens.
• Control capabilities such as creating, editing, publishing, or deleting listings/events.
• Combine with WP Adminify to create a much cleaner backend experience. The main challenge is the last requirement: allowing the VA to manage only the 12 churches’ listings while preventing access to other directory listings.
WordPress core permissions are role-based, not ownership-group based. If the VA needs access to selected listings belonging to multiple different users, that typically requires one of the following:
1. A GeoDirectory feature that supports multiple managers/editors per listing.
2. A membership/permissions plugin that supports object-level permissions.
3. Custom development that assigns the VA access to specific listings/events only.If the VA simply needs access to all GeoDirectory listings and events on the site, then RoleMaster Suite + WP Adminify can handle that today.
If the VA must only manage those 12 churches and nothing else, that would likely require either a future GeoDirectory enhancement or some custom development depending on how GeoDirectory stores listing ownership.
If you’d like, I can take a closer look at GeoDirectory’s data structure and suggest the most practical implementation approach.
Kind Regards
