If there is no option for it to be added into the template itself, then its probably best to do it via a plugin. There are quite a few around, but personally I like Google Analyticator as its kept up to date and also allows for auto-tagging on external URLs and things like that
Yeah looks like spam on your comment forms. There are a few plugins out there which can really help with this, biggest one being Akismet (definitely worth setting up on all WordPress sites)
