You’re welcome.
First, user creates a post and makes payment. This puts the post into a pending approval state. Then the first notification goes out when our admins publish each post, exactly as it should, triggered by the publish action.
The duplicate goes out 30-31 days later, when the payment renews.
Something I’m considering-
Possibly wordpress/directories pro is momentarily un-publishing the post and re-publishing when payment is processed? Directories Pro does have the ability to un-publish or un-assign an author if they fail to continue paying. If this is the case, the issue lies elsewhere.
Hello,
I’m happy to move forward with the diagnosis on my end. Before I do, I’d like to make it clear that my issue is not a duplicate notification going out back to back. I this case I would suspect a caching issue.
The issue is that upon monthly renewal of a paid post (a Directory listing) the “Post Published” notification is being triggered when it should not be. This notification should only go out when our admins click the publish button.
Shall I follow the documentation provided here? Or do you have an alternative best course of action? Thank you for the swift reply!
