Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Inconsistent file permissionsSorry, I thought mfiman and I were experiencing the same issue as they occurred at the same time, with the same update and the same error so I was adding more information to the topic having gone to the next step of trying a manual update. I’ll start a new topic.

In reply to: Inconsistent file permissionsI manage a website for a friend and this same issue has suddenly occurred on his WordPress installation when trying to update to 6.8. I tried a manually upgrade and about 100 files in the wp-admin/includes folder could not be copied. Despite that, the site now believes that it’s fully updated to 6.8 and appears to be functioning as usual. However if I try to update translations or the WordPress included themes it still triggers the error. All of the errors reference the code in this file: “/wp-admin/includes/class-wp-filesystem-direct.php on line 173“
I’m also curious as to why this suddenly happened out of the blue.

In reply to: [WP FullCalendar] Missing jQuery ui theme filesI had updated WordPress and all of the plugins on the website. The theme didn’t need an update. I switched the calendar to an existing jQuery-ui theme and the functionality was restored but obviously it no longer matches the look of the website. I imagine that the way the calendar accesses a custom theme was changed at some point in the update cycle?

In reply to: [mqTranslate] Double language code (/en/en) in URL when clicking on homeI’ve created a temporary fix using a couple of redirects in the .htaccess file. It’s not ideal but it corrects the issue until the plugin is fixed. I added this to the file.
# Redirect old file path to new file path Redirect /en/en/ http://www.thesiteurl.com/en/ Redirect /fr/fr/ http://www.thesiteurl.com/fr/Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [mqTranslate] Double language code (/en/en) in URL when clicking on homeHi,
I’m experiencing the same problem. Were you able to fix it?
Thanks!
Hi,
I’ve found that if you manually add a folder called “ithemes-security” in your wp-content/uploads/ folder, back-ups start working again.
Hope that helps.

Thanks Jeff. I’ll leave well enough alone.
Hi Jeff,
I’m using this plugin with a BuddyPress site as well and I’m wondering if you used the database prefix changing feature? I’m hesitant to try for fear of breaking my website.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
