Hi @crzyhrse,
Similar issues to this one usually happen if you have a low maximum memory limit. Please try increasing the maximum memory and let us know if the issue persists.
We are looking forward to hearing from you.
Hi @thomasnorden,
Yoast SEO 7.8 was released today and should have addressed this issue. Please update and let us know if the issue persists.
As @galbaras, many WordPress themes come with some schema markup by default. If you want to find out if your theme does that, we recommend deactivating all plugins (clear any caches your server might have, if any), then submit your URL to the Structured Data Testing Tool.
Unfortunately, we cannot further assist you as the problem is not related to Yoast SEO.
Hi John,
Could you install Query Monitor on your staging website to determine which plugin is responsible for the slow queries?
Additionally, please also mention the PHP memory limit for your website. If you still have the Health Check plugin installed, you can find this information by going to Dashboard → Health Check → Troubleshoot information.
Hi David,
Please update to Yoast SEO 7.8 first and let us know if the issue persists.
If it does, please send us a screenshot of the issue here, so that we may better understand and provide you with a solution.
We’re looking forward to hearing from you.
Hi @ianspangler,
Do you have any browser extensions on Chrome? If so, please temporarily disable them and try again. It is possible an extension is affecting how Yoast SEO is working on your website.
We are looking forward to hearing from you.
Hi @cag8f,
It is not possible to disable author archives for specific users only. However, if all your posts are written by a single author, then the blog section and the author archive would be completely identical.
This is the main reason why the feature to disable author archives was added so that users to do not get duplicate content.
If your website’s content has a single author, then we recommend disabling all author archives as they serve no purpose.

In reply to: [Yoast SEO - Advanced SEO with real-time guidance and built-in AI] МетаданныеUnfortunately, Google has reduced the maximum length of meta descriptions back to the initial value.
We won’t advise you to go and change all your existing meta descriptions. What would make sense, for most sites at least, is to take a look at your best ranking articles and make those descriptions longer and meaningful.
Hey,
Please check for JavaScript errors with your console and send us a screenshot of them, so that we may better understand what might be causing this issue.
Additionally, if you have any browser extensions active, please temporarily deactivate them and check if the issue persists.
We’re looking forward to hearing back from you.
Hi @webmastert,
Can you try and gather as much information for us as possible? Please perform the following:
1. Make sure the issue doesn’t persist when Yoast SEO is disabled.
2. Check for conflicts.
3. Check for JavaScript errors with your console. If you find any JavaScript errors related to Yoast SEO or if there is a conflict with a plugin or a theme, you can create a new GitHub issue for our developers.
Hi @luboast,
Unfortunately, there are no plans to bring back the feature to noindex subpages. The fact that all your subpages are getting indexed is not an issue from an SEO point of view. As @destac has mentioned, rel=next and rel=prev make sure Google sends people to the first page in a paginated series.
Noindexing all these pages leads to a lower amount of crawls for them, which subsequently leads to lower amounts of crawls for older articles.
However, if you’d like to submit this feature request, the best place to do so is on GitHub.
Hi @romashah62,
Yes, it is possible as @destac has mentioned. To do so, go to SEO → Search Appearance → Archives and select:
- Author archives → Enabled
- Show author archives in search results? → No

Hi @jcrampton,
Yes, but you’d have to switch to .htaccess or web server redirects (from SEO → Redirects → Settings) in order to work for files.
Please note that the forums are for Yoast SEO (free version) only. For support with our premium products, please send us an email at [email protected]
Hi Renate,
In general, we recommend waiting up to 2 weeks for the changes to be reflected in the search engine results pages, although it usually happens faster.
We did inspect your website and noticed that you have 2 meta descriptions (i.e. https://i.imgur.com/aeXCfHd.png ), which is why the correct meta description may not get displayed.
The first meta description is generating either by a different plugin or your WordPress theme. You would have to remove that in order for the meta description generated by Yoast SEO to be shown in the search results.
Hey @arman_gts,
We have inspected your website’s sitemap and could not find any issue related to the error message which you have sent us. Have you fixed the issue in the meantime?
That error message would appear if /sitemap_index.xml would contain another sitemap index, but all the other sitemaps appear to be correct.
