Unfortunately, it is not possible to import the primary category of your products. It needs to be set manually.
Unfortunately, we do not have any sample pages for each of our variables.
Please note that you cannot use %%excerpt%% for taxonomy pages, as there is no excerpt which you can use. The excerpt can only be used for posts and pages.
@arcinstall please follow the guide suggested by @k00kaine, as that is the best way to uninstall a plugin when you don’t have access to your dashboard. Yoast SEO will be in the
/wp-content/plugins/wordpress-seodirectory@matthias88 Are there any JavasSript errors in the browser’s console? You can check by following this guide.
If there are any errors, We recommend performing a conflict check to determine if a different plugin is causing those issues. Please inform us of the results.
Yoast SEO should work with PHP 5.2.4 or newer. If you are still experiencing issues with Yoast SEO, please check if changing the PHP version to 7.0 or newer fixes the issue.
If the issue persists, then it’s likely caused by an incompatibility with a different plugin or theme on your website. In that case, we recommend performing a conflict check as in this guide.
Hi @jouejuan,
If you wish to avoid having duplicate titles or meta descriptions, you can add the %%page%% variable to your pages. You can do so by going to SEO → Titles & Metas → Post Types in your WordPress dashboard.
You can learn more about the variables and what they do here.
Unfortunately, we do not have any plans of bringing the meta keyword tags back.
Your meta keywords are not lost though, they are still saved in your database. If you really wish to continue using them, then you can download Yoast SEO 6.2 here.
You can check the page source and look for </title> tags (use your browser’s search function to easily locate them).
If you can find 2 title tags, then it means that your theme is also generating a title tag, which is why you’re getting that warning.
If that is the case, it would be best to contact your theme’s developer for guidelines on removing that title tag.
Apologies for the confusion, Yoast WooCommerce SEO is required in order to be able to show the Primary Category in the breadcrumbs for WooCommerce products.
Unfortunately, we could not say for sure what is the reason why you’re ranking for
strata villeonly. It is impossible to say for sure, as Google Rankings (and the traffic it generates) depend on over 200 different factors. You can learn more about the 200 different factors that Google uses to determine ranking here: Algorithms.
Google tries to offer the best results for every keyword search. It’s possible that most people who search for
Stratavilleare looking for something else (i.e. a record label), not for your company.Google tries to match the intention of the users, so if it considers that Strataville is a more common search for a record label rather than your company, it’s likely that you won’t be ranking for that keyword.
Hi @danstah,
The redirect manager is not a feature of Yoast SEO (free version), but of Yoast SEO Premium.
The support forum on ww.wp.xz.cn is for the free version only. For any issues or questions you might have with Yoast SEO Premium, please contact premium support.
The reason why you are seeing the old title is that Google Plus (like most other social networks) is caching URLs which have been previously posted.
This means that even though you might have made the changes in Yoast SEO, Google Plus will not check for them, but show the cached version instead.
Unfortunately, you cannot force Goole to clear the cache of an URL and there is no way to determine when it will get updated. However, there is a workaround by adding query strings to your URLs. Thus, when adding them, Twitter will consider them new URLs and will scrape the page for tags instead of using the cached ones.
For example, you could post your URL on Google+ using using
https://kashmirpulse.com/notifications/date-sheet/date-sheet-theory-exam-paramedical-trainees-jan-feb-2018/26786.html?utm_source=GooglePlusYou can add any other query string, we are using this one as it’s also a valid URL parameter for Google Analytics.
Yoast SEO uses .json files for translation. If you want to use your translation on your WordPress install, you will first have to convert the file to .json, then rename it to
wordpress-seo-hu_HU.jsonwordpress-seo-hu_HU.jsonand upload it in/wp-content/wordpress-seo\languagesThat is indeed strange. Sometimes strange behavior may be caused by a plugin or theme conflict. The fastest way to rule out conflicts is to deactivate all non-Yoast plugins and switch to a standard theme like Twenty Seventeen. If this resolves the issue, you have a conflict and should activate one plugin at a time until you locate the conflict. Finally, after all plugins are active, switch to your theme. This will narrow down the conflict to a specific plugin or theme.
If you can install plugins, install “Health Check”: https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/health-check/ On the troubleshooting tab, you can click the button to disable all plugins and change the theme for you, while you’re still logged in, without affecting normal visitors to your site
If you are unfamiliar with checking for conflicts, we wrote a small guide that will walk you through the steps. You can find it here: How To Check For Plugin Conflicts
Hi @redspot,
Can you confirm that you have submitted your website to Google Search Console, as in this guide?
We ask as you must first add a property (your website) to Google Search Console, and only after that, you should be able to connect that property’s Google Search Console to Yoast SEO.
