Hi Havi,
Do the /feed/ versions of your WordPress portfolio pages serve any purpose? We ask as if they do not, the best solution would be creating 301 redirects from the URLs with feed to their equivalent portfolio pages. That would fix all the issues.
Does the issue only happen when Yoast SEO is active?
To find out which plugin is causing the issue, we recommend performing a conflict check and re-activating plugins back one a time. Please inform us of the results.
Hi Peter,
It is not possible to add custom meta tags to your posts (nor pages, custom post types, etc) using Yoast SEO.
For that, you can either choose a plugin from the ww.wp.xz.cn repository or use a custom solution as the one you have mentioned above.
Hi Amar,
Did you perform a conflict check as we have suggested before?
We ask as that involves deactivating all plugins and switching to a default theme, then re-activating them back one at a time, until you find what causes the issue.
If you can find a set of meta tags even when Yoast SEO is deactivated, then it means that a different plugin on your website is responsible for it.
The reason why you cannot see the Yoast SEO comments in the source code is probably that you are using a plugin (or an external solution, like Cloudflare) to minify your HTML files, which deleted all comments. This is another reason why performing a conflict check is necessary, as it will allow you to find out which set of tags is added by Yoast SEO once the comments in the code show up.
If the meta description is not relevant to the content on your page, it’s possible that your website will not show up when searching it on Google.
We’ve inspected your homepage and noticed that it has very little text content, which is why Google may decide that your meta description is not a good fit.
We would first recommend fetching your homepage as Googlebot, to make sure that Google is able to see the same content as visitors do.
Next, you might want to add some content to your homepage that would help both users and the search engines what your website is about.
Yes, please refer your developer to this documentation and snippets:
Unfortunately, you cannot disable the headings, but you can expand or hide the ones that you do not want to see by clicking on the headings.
For example, you can choose to only see the Problems, that would reduce how much you have to scroll to see the analysis.
Hi Dannie,
The focus keyword should be the main keyword which you are aiming to rank for. We would recommend checking out our in-depth guide on focus keywords to better understand how it works.
In your example, it might be better to choose “fifa18 review” as your focus keyword, as that’s what people would expect to find on your page.
If users search for “game name + Company”, then they’re likely looking for the official page of the game on the company’s website, you are not likely to show up in the search results for those keywords.
If you want/need to optimize your keywords for multiple keywords, you can get Yoast SEO Premium, so you can use up to 5 focus keywords per post/page.
Hi Peter,
Can you give us more details on what you meany by getting “pagerank from Bing and Yahoo”?
PageRank is an algorithm used by Google only and the scores for websites have not been publically updated in a few years. You can learn more about it here.

Hi @yanchile,
The most common reason for that error is using an outdated version of WordPress. Can you confirm that you are using the latest version of WordPress, 4.9.3?
If not, please update and let us know if the issue persists.
We’re looking forward to your reply.
Hi Amar,
It is not normal to have duplicate meta tags on all your pages, it could have a negative impact on your SEO efforts. Is it possible that you are using 2 SEO plugins, or your theme also adds meta tags?
To find out if that is the case, please perform a conflict check as in this guide. This will allow you to find out if the extra set of meta tags is generated by a different theme/plugin and if so, which one is doing it.
Please inform us of the results.
Hi Peter,
Can you give us more details on what you’re trying to achieve? Unfortunately, we did not fully understand, thus we couldn’t provide you with a definite answer yet.
Hi Varhal,
We are not familiar with this error. Can you confirm that you have installed Yoast SEO from the ww.wp.xz.cn repository?
We ask as it’s possible that the files might have been corrupted. If that is the case, please delete the existing files of Yoast SEO and try installing it again.
Additionally, can you confirm that you are running the latest version WordPress, 4.9.3?
We’re looking forward to hearing from you.
As @ganstack suggested, please follow our guide step by step, you should have no issue connecting Google Search Console to your website.
Yes, it is possible to create new variables or edit the existing ones.
