Found answer!
I was using the theme AVADA, and there was some sort of bug with it clashing with WooCommerce, took a while to figure out as I activated a different theme and there were no issues. I updated the AVADA theme to v3.3.1 and the error was corrected I guess the bugs were sorted in that update.

Hi Crankymoo, I am having similar issues with UpdraftPlus and my hosting is through Heart Internet, they are still looking into it however gave me a possible solution by adding the code: define(‘ALTERNATE_WP_CRON’, true); to the wp_config.php file
Unfortunately this never worked me me either.
