In reply to: searchabilityi am talking about the profile page in the front end of the site that people can see not the back if logged in. eg. if you click on a persons name it will take you to there profile page. i was hoping that this page would be searchable.

In reply to: search bari have installed the plugin (search everything). is there a form i need to fill out saying what and where i want it to search? i am worried because when i search for los angeles which is in my profile page it doesn’t find it. Does it take time for the search to build (work) as i only have two people on my blog which is maybe why it doesnt work yet. do i need more of a body of people before search starts. Its says the plugin is activated but how do i know?

mattok. i tried to upgrade to 2.8.4 and everything changes back to how it was before i made any changes. my site is http://www.photoloungedb.com as you can see we have made a lot of changes. is there a way to save all this, and when we upgrade to restore the files so it looks the same as it does now?
i have a programmer but he doesn’t seem to think it is possible might maybe he is talking site?

i don’t want to update as i have customized my site a lot and it screws with it. Am happy with the way its working so don’t feel a need to update. Is that a problem with hacking.

i think you might be the man to help me. I did the first 3 steps you suggested. How do i do the final one? Assign 766 recursive permisions to wp-contents folder.
If you can explain that to me i think it would be of great help.
