In reply to: [Mailchimp for WooCommerce] Crap – but finally got it to workHey @mike1mus
Thanks for sharing your feedback here. I read your review and wanted to chime in and see if there was anything I could do to help lend a hand in troubleshooting this with you here. If you are interested, could you provide a few details and I can help take a look?
– Could you elaborate on the process from setting up the plugin leading up to seeing the sync not work?
– Does the sync appear to get stuck, or does it never sync any information at all?
– Are you able to see any e-commerce data in the MailChimp account?
– What is the site’s WooCommerce System Status Report? Thanks in advance. I’ll keep an eye out if you’d like to troubleshoot further.

In reply to: [Mailchimp for WooCommerce] Plugin does not sync ordersHey @simonduchaine,
Thanks for that clarification! I’m sorry to hear it’s still not working properly. In this case, it might be best for the MailChimp support team to take a closer look at the connected MailChimp account and the API calls being sent from the integration. Could you please reach out to their team using the MailChimp contact form, here: https://mailchimp.com/contact/ and include a link to this blog post, noting that your WooCommerce System Status report can be found here? Also, if you can do any testing to try to rule out theme or plugin conflicts in a dev environment that would be very helpful as well. Often a theme or plugin conflict can cause synching issues. Setting up a dev environment with only WooCommerce and MailChimp for WooCommerce installed initially and then adding your existing plugins to that dev environment can help detect any problematic plugins that may exist on your site.
Thanks!
Pearl

In reply to: [Mailchimp for WooCommerce] Cart Won’t Clear After CheckoutHey there @insiteadvice
Thanks for getting in touch. That definitely sounds like unexpected behavior. I’d like to help investigate and troubleshoot a bit further. Would you be able to share a few additional details with us?
– Can you provide the WooCommerce System Status Report for the site?
– Does this issue persist when other plugins besides WooCommerce and MailChimp for WooCommerce are deactivated?
– Does this issue persist with a different theme? Thanks for this. I’ll do some testing on my end and keep an eye out for your reply.

In reply to: [Mailchimp for WooCommerce] Plugin does not sync ordersHey @simonduchaine,
Thanks for reaching back out! I apologize, but it looks like I mistyped – The linked server requirements for WooCommerce, found here: https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/server-requirements/ request MySQL version 5.6 or greater. In the system status report I’m seeing MySQL Version: 5.5.54. Updating the MySQL version to meet the minimum requirements should sort things out, but please let us know if you continue to experience any issues!
Thanks,
Pearl

Thanks for chiming in. Just to get started and rule out some initial factors, could you share the site’s WooCommerce System Status Report? This will help us check off some initial boxes in our troubleshooting.
Thanks in advance!

In reply to: [Mailchimp for WooCommerce] Style opt-in Woocommerce checkboxHey there @jalop123j,
Thanks for getting in touch. The plugin doesn’t have built-in styling options, but you are certainly free to use custom CSS on your site to style the checkbox.
To help get you started, the checkbox itself has a class of “input-checkbox” and the text next to the checkbox has a class of “checkbox”.
We won’t be able to advise much on how to use CSS on the site, but if you do have any questions about the plugin, don’t hesitate to let us know!
Thanks,
MalachiteHey @laurendo

In reply to: [Mailchimp for WooCommerce] Plugin doesn’t syncHey Harro,
MailChimp for WooCommerce is compatible with WooCommerce 3.2.3 and we typically recommend working with the most up to date plugin versions. Plugins updates will provide resolutions to previous issues discovered in the plugin and new features that have been added. MailChimp for WooCommerce also has a new version update released as of just now.
If a staging environment is available, that will also provide an environment for further testing. I totally understand not wanting to hinder a live website’s functionality.

In reply to: [Mailchimp for WooCommerce] Order confirmation emails do not workHey there @infinitus17,
Since it sounds like this is a separate issue from the original topic in this thread, would you mind creating a new topic in the forums for this issue you’re encountering?
In addition, please include a copy of the site’s WooCommerce System Status Report so we can go ahead and jump into troubleshooting this with you.
Thanks!

In reply to: [Mailchimp for WooCommerce] Auto opt-inHey @joelworsham
Good question! In our internal test environment, I walked through creating an account with and without the subscription box checked, but when returning to the checkout page, that opt-in checkbox stayed selected.
While I can see how having an existing account could definitely be within the realm of possibility to influence this, I was not able to replicate the behavior our own account while using the plugin.
If you have any further questions, don’t hesitate to let me know.
Thanks,

In reply to: [Mailchimp for WooCommerce] Plugin doesn’t syncHey there,
Thanks for reaching out here! Looking over the status page information, it looks like the version of the WooCommerce plugin is 3.1.2. We recommend working with the most recent version of that plugin which is now 3.2.3.
Another system requirement is MySQL 5.6 or higher. I’m not seeing that listed in the status page information so that would be worth looking into as well.
Thank you,

In reply to: [Mailchimp for WooCommerce] Auto opt-inHey @joelworsham
Thanks for the quick reply and for those helpful screenshots. I was able to do some testing, and when walking through those steps in an incognito browser, I was able to see the checkbox auto-selected after adding a webinar to the cart. I took a screen recording so you can see the specific workflow I’m taking: https://cl.ly/0l3S3007363W
Since I am not able to replicate the behavior with the checkbox not selected, I might suggest testing in a separate browser or with a separate device, as there could be some local factors at play.
Additionally, I did notice in the System Status Report that the site is running PHP 5.6. A recent update to WooCommerce now recommends PHP 7 or greater, and I’d recommend upgrading to at least PHP 7 to avoid any unexpected behaviors cropping up.
Thanks, and let me know if you have any questions.
