In reply to: [Mailchimp for WooCommerce] Sync not workingHey @gdrayson
Thanks for the quick follow up. I can understand not wanting to run those tests on the live site. If possible, I would recommend running some further testing on a separate development server. Here are some troubleshooting steps I believe we’ll want to try next to narrow down what might be causing this to occur:
– Does the sync get stuck if the plugin is completely deactivated, deleted, re-downloaded, and reinstalled?
– Does the behavior persist when switching to a different theme?
– Does the behavior persist when deactivating all other plugins except WooCommerce and MailChimp For WooCommerce? If you’re not able to test on a development site or need some further assistance looking at this specific behavior within the MailChimp account, I might recommend reaching out to MailChimp Support who can assist with your specific account.
If you have further questions or are able to take some of these further testing steps, don’t hesitate to let us know. We’re glad to help as much as possible.

In reply to: [Mailchimp for WooCommerce] Abandon Cart in error logs?Hey @tyanta
Thanks for your response. I am sorry to hear you’re unable to reach out to MailChimp’s Support Team. Unfortunately, I’ll only be able to advise so far here in the plugin forums being unable to access your account.
First, it is totally acceptable to sync a dev site and a live site to the same list and this will not cause errors. That being said, I would be sure to name these stores differently so they appear differently in your MailChimp account. Also, be aware that having test e-commerce data from your dev store and real data from your live store could skew reporting data, which might be less than ideal.
Abandoned Cart Emails can be tested by adding a product to the cart, navigating to the checkout page, and filling in at least the email address field, then navigating to a new website or closing the browser. After taking this workflow, I would check to see if the test email address used appears in the list as “Non-Subscribed” or appears in the Abandoned Cart Automation queue. If it’s not appearing there, there may be a plugin conflict holding up that process on the site.
Finally, I’m afraid I wouldn’t be able to speak to too much depth as to why you’re seeing the Abandoned Cart email for the developer site disabled, though I would recommend ensuring that the Automation is connected to a list with an active store connection.
If you have any further questions, please don’t hesitate to let us know.

In reply to: [Mailchimp for WooCommerce] Sync frequencyHey @javiweb
Thanks for posting. I’d be glad to lend some insight.
The plugin does not run on a syncing schedule. Rather, when first installed it will sync the entire backlog of orders and products to MailChimp which will take some time. From there, it syncs on a case-by-case basis when new orders come in. So after the initial installation, all syncs are triggered when a new order comes in, which updates any other information that might have pending changes.
If you have any further questions, don’t hesitate to let us know.
Thanks,

In reply to: [Mailchimp for WooCommerce] Auto opt-inHey there @joelworsham
Thanks for the feedback. To shed some light on this concern, MailChimp is an opt-in only Email Service Provider, so it’s necessary to ensure that anyone who is subscribed to a MailChimp list. Adding on to what @gdrayson mentioned, MailChimp does has to follow certain rules as an ESP which include obtaining that consent from a user before subscribing their email address to a mailing list.
Regarding the separate issue of that Opt-in Checkbox not staying checked by default, would you be able to share a few pieces of information to help me investigate and troubleshoot this with you?
– What is the site’s WooCommerce System Status Report to ensure the server meets minimum requirements to run the plugin?
– Could you provide a screenshot of where the opt-in checkbox is set this way?
– Could you provide a link to the site where the plugin is installed so we can take a closer look? Thanks in advance for these details. I’ll keep an eye out for your reply.

In reply to: [Mailchimp for WooCommerce] Sync not workingHey there @gdrayson
Sorry we missed your initial post and thanks for sharing all these details up front. Looking over this, I can see the site does meet minimum requirements to run and understand that the customers have synced over, but the orders have not.
After some testing done in one of our staging environments, I was able to successfully sync over orders that were made with a price total of 0.00. That being said, there could be some differences in our setup that may be a factor. Could you try a few additional troubleshooting steps on your end?
– If you add a new order with a price greater than zero, does it sync over?
– When you say that customers have synced but orders have not, could you elaborate on what specific things you’re seeing in the app that are indicating this? Just to be certain we’re on the same page. You can also share screenshots here to help ensure we’re looking at the same information. Thanks in advance for this. I’ll lookout for your reply.
– MalachiteHey @laurendo,
Thanks for your reply. You are correct that this will hide the opt-in box across the board. Unfortunately there is not a way to workaround this behavior at this moment, though I will certainly be sure to pass your feedback along to our team. You are also welcome to share and track feedback on the plugin’s Github page.
If you have any further questions, please let us know.
Thanks,

In reply to: [Mailchimp List Subscribe Form] Subscribe to 2 different listHey @binomi
Thanks for your post. I’m afraid that the List Subscribe plugin can only connect to a single list in the MailChimp account. Due to this limitation, it’s only possible to subscribe users to a single list in your MailChimp account. That said, I can certainly pass this feedback along to our team for consideration in the future.
In the meantime, I might suggest investigating a separate signup form plugin that would allow you to connect an additional signup form to your additional list.
If you do have any questions, please let us know.
Thanks,
MalachiteHey there @orjansteffensen
Thanks for posting and sorry for the delay in our response. I’d certainly like to help investigate as to what might be occurring here. Would you be able to provide a few more details so we can take a closer look? Specifically:
– What is the site’s WooCommerce System Status Report?
– Are there any details present under the “Logs” tab in the plugin’s settings?
– Are you able to replicate this behavior with a specific step-by-step workflow? Thanks in advance for these details. I’ll keep an eye out for your response.
– MalachiteHey there @laurendo
Thanks for getting in touch. I’m afraid there’s not a way to move the opt-in checkbox to a separate page of the website with the built-in settings for the plugin. That said, this is a great piece of feedback I can certainly pass along!
The only options to move the checkbox is to hide it on the List Settings section of the plugin settings, as pictured here: https://cl.ly/1P1U0o3y2y3D
You can completely hide the opt-in box, or choose to move it to a different place on the checkout page using WooCommerce’s Hooks feature, though unfortunately it’s not possible to move it to a different page entirely.
That said, I appreciate this piece of feedback. If you have any further questions about this, don’t hesitate to let us know.

In reply to: [Mailchimp for WooCommerce] Abandon Cart in error logs?Hey @tyanta
Thanks for getting in touch. That definitely sounds less than ideal. I’m afraid however that in this case, because the issues are happening within the MailChimp account itself, we’ll need to defer to MailChimp’s Support Team who can access your specific account. They’ll be able to take a closer look at what’s causing this to happen and get things updated. Here’s a link to their support contact info:

In reply to: [Mailchimp for WooCommerce] Plugin do not load after i copy paste the API keyHey @nicogloazzo
Thanks for troubleshooting that. Unfortunately due to the nature of our support in the forums, we can only go so far with delving into account specifics. The reason we defer to MailChimp’s Support Team is that they have the ability to look at your specific account and track the API calls sending from your site over to MailChimp via the integration.
I’m afraid that at this point it would be necessary to reach out to MailChimp’s Support team. You can find more information about their support options here.
Thanks,

In reply to: [Mailchimp for WooCommerce] External ProductsHey there @sroskylo1
Thanks for clarifying that for me. We should be able to sync over those products without any orders, and I can help investigate what might be holding up that sync progress. Often, this can be a holdup due to not meeting the minimum server requirements to run the plugin or due to a conflicting plugin also active on the site.
– Can you share the site’s WooCommerce System Status Report?
– Does the sync start if you fully deactivate, delete, and reinstall the plugin?
– Does the sync start if you switch the site to a different theme?
– Does the sync start if you deactivate all plugins except WooCommerce and MailChimp for WooCommerce? Thanks in advance for this. I’ll keep an eye out for your reply.

In reply to: [Mailchimp for WooCommerce] Plugin do not load after i copy paste the API keyHey @nicogloazzo
Thanks for following up. Glad to hear you were able to allow the plugin access to finish the setup process. If you’re still seeing the plugin stuck during the sync, I might double check to see if there are any other plugins that could be holding up the syncing process.
If you’re still seeing the sync stuck, then I would recommend trying to switch to a different theme as well as deactivate all plugins except for WooCommerce and MailChimp For WooCommerce to see if that allows the sync to go through. If this isn’t feasible, then I would recommend setting up a testing environment to test things out to not interfere with the live site.
I apologize for the inconvenience here, but do let us know if you have any further questions on how to further troubleshoot.
Thanks,

In reply to: [Mailchimp for WooCommerce] Orders not syncingHey @gdrayson
Thanks for posting. It sounds like this might have a different root cause than the original post on this thread. For the sake of keeping things organized, could you create a new post on the forum about this issue you’re seeing?
In addition to creating a new thread, could you also include the following details?
– The site’s WooCommerce System Status Report
– If you create a test product that does not have a price 0.00, do you see it successfully sync over?
– Are these products active products in the store, or are they draft products? Thanks for this. I’ll keep an eye out for your post and we can continue troubleshooting things here.

In reply to: [Mailchimp for WooCommerce] Overload serverHey everyone, thanks for continuing to keep this thread updated.
Given that this issue seems to be presenting itself on the backend, I would recommend reaching out in our Github for the plugin to share these issues directly with our development team. Including this logging as well as the WooCommerce System Status Report to share your site’s details will be a great help in getting things accurately diagnosed.
If you do encounter any unexpected behavior with the plugin’s functionality or how it’s sending information back over to MailChimp, please don’t hesitate to let me know. I’m glad to help further however possible.
