In reply to: [Mailchimp for WooCommerce] External ProductsHey @sroskylo1
Thanks for posting. The plugin is designed to sync over products and orders that have been made within the WooCommerce store connected to your WordPress site. If there are not any products or orders, I would not expect the plugin to sync anything over, though you would have the option to use e-commerce features in MailChimp such as Product Recommendations and Abandoned Cart Automations.
All that said, would you mind offering a bit more context on how these external products in your store are setup and exactly what unexpected behavior you are seeing? I would be glad to help investigate and troubleshoot this with you further.
Thanks,

In reply to: [Mailchimp for WooCommerce] Plugin do not load after i copy paste the API keyHey @nicogloazzo
Thanks for sharing that. I was able to do some investigation and it turns out this is an issue that a handful of users have encountered. I’ve gone ahead and passed this information along to our developers who are working to test and resolve things in a future update to the plugin.
While sometimes other plugins can influence the behavior of the MailChimp for WooCommerce plugin, I can understand not wanting to test this on a live website. It’s possible to setup a testing environment with the help of a developer to test and check for any conflicts with the plugins, themes, and server setup.
I can’t speak to depth as to which URL you’ll want to access in regards to the firewall, but I have gone ahead and passed this information to hopefully get this issue resolved in the future.
If you do have any questions, feel free to let us know.

In reply to: [Mailchimp for WooCommerce] Best way to slow down your siteHey @cloverleaffarm
I’m afraid we are not able to reach out directly here in the Plugin Support Forums. That said, it is possible to troubleshoot in a private message with MailChimp’s Support Team via chat support or email. You can read more about this option here: https://kb.mailchimp.com/accounts/management/mailchimp-support-options
We appreciate the feedback. Please let us know if you have any additional questions we can answer here.
Thanks,

In reply to: [Mailchimp for WooCommerce] 500 Error when WooCommerce not activeHey there @kristarella
Thanks for getting in touch and passing along this feedback. I’ll be sure this makes word over to our development team to keep an eye out for in future updates to the plugin.
Just so we can thoroughly test and document things on our side, would you be able to provide the site’s WooCommerce System Status Report?
Thanks in advance,

Thanks for your post. That definitely sounds like unexpected behavior and I’d like to help investigate.
To get started, can you share with us the site’s WooCommerce System Status Report? This will help us try and test to replicate the issue you’re encountering.
Additionally, can you try the following troubleshooting steps?
– Can you see if this issue persists when switching to a different theme on your site, if possible?
– Can you try deactivating all other plugins except for WooCommerce and MailChimp For WooCommerce and see if the issue persists, if possible? Thanks in advance for this. I’ll keep an eye out for your reply.

Awesome!
Glad to hear that did the trick.
Hope you have a good rest of your week,

Thanks for sharing this. Taking a look, it appears this is the script that will be added as part of MailChimp’s Connected Sites feature. While this is something that may be better investigated by MailChimp’s Support Team, I would like to see if there’s a way to resolve things from the plugin side here:
– Does this 403 error resolve if you fully deactivate, remove, download, and reactivate the plugin? This should generate a brand new MCJS script for the site.
If not, could you go ahead and share the site’s WooCommerce System Status Report? We can give check things out to see what we can find out before deferring to MailChimp’s Support Team on this one.
Thanks in advance,

In reply to: [Mailchimp for WooCommerce] mailchimp_woocommerce_is_subscribedHey there @michael-shinosky
I apologize for the delay on our end. It seems there was a blip in our notification setup and we missed your post. Thanks for sharing these details and following up!
I was able to take some time to test this out on our testing environment and was unfortunately unable to reproduce this behavior still. To get a bit further in replicating, I looked over the provided System Status Report and noticed that the site does not quite meet the minimum requirements to run the plugin, which can sometimes lead to unexpected behavior.
The MailChimp for WooCommerce plugin defers to WooCommerce’s minimum system requirements which includes PHP 7+ and MySQL 5.6+. I noticed this site is running PHP 5.6 and MySQL 5.5.57. I’m afraid it will be necessary to upgrade to meet these system requirements in order to troubleshoot things further from this point.
I appreciate you providing this information for us nonetheless. If you have any questions after upgrading, please let us know.

In reply to: [Mailchimp for WooCommerce] Creating AccountHey Monika,
Thanks for writing back with this detailed information. I took some time to analyze the Status Report and do some testing and here’s what I found.
I was unable to replicate this behavior by taking those steps in our testing environment. This was tested with a very minimal environment setup, and I was able to enable Registration in the WooCommerce settings and successfully create a password and click the Register button.
I looked over the Status Report to get a look at any factors at play with this specific environment you are working in. I noticed that the PHP and MySQL for this site do not meet the minimum requirements recommended for expected behavior with the plugin. Currently, the plugin requires PHP 7+ and MySQL 5.6+, as noted here in WooCommerce’s Server Recommendations.
Unfortunately, it will be necessary to upgrade the server to meet these requirements before we would be able to troubleshoot things further from here. If you are not in a place to upgrade this, then I might suggest deactivating the registration form on the My Accounts page for the time being until that upgrade is feasible.
If you are able to upgrade the server and are still seeing this behavior, or if you do have any other questions in the meantime, please feel free to write back and let us know.
Thanks,

In reply to: [Mailchimp for WooCommerce] Very bad. Broke the site. I had to disable it.Hey @vmajor
I’m afraid that we only have the option to share things here in the forums. If you are interested in a different mode of communication, MailChimp’s Support Team offers email and chat support. You can read more about those options here: https://kb.mailchimp.com/accounts/management/mailchimp-support-options
I can definitely see where you’re coming from here. Unfortunately it’s not possible for us to troubleshoot further without ensuring that a site meets the minimum server requirements for the plugin. If upgrading the PHP on the site is not an option at this time, I can completely understand.
If you have any other questions, don’t hesitate to let us know.

In reply to: [Mailchimp for WooCommerce] Creating AccountHey @mbkidthings
Thanks for sharing this with us and for all the work you’ve done so far here. I’d like to help investigate this with you.
First, I’d like to try and replicate the behavior you’re experiencing on the site being unable to create an account. To get full context on the situation, can you share the site’s WooCommerce System Status Report? That can be found under WooCommerce > Status, as described here in WooCommerce’s documentation: https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/understanding-the-woocommerce-system-status-report/
Additionally, can you provide a step by step workflow leading up to being unable to complete the register form?
Thanks in advance for this. I’ll keep an eye out for your reply.

The System Status Report can be found within WooCommerce’s settings under WooCommmerce > Status. This piece from WooCommerce’s documentation goes into further detail on how to find this page: https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/understanding-the-woocommerce-system-status-report/
While I can certainly understand the frustration with having to use an older version of PHP, I’m afraid that our plugin is based on the minimum requirements of WooCommerce’s system recommendations, which requires PHP 7 or greater.
While there could be other factors at play, we would require that the site meet all minimum requirements in order to function as expected. For reference, those minimum requirements can be found here: https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/server-requirements/
Let us know if you have any other questions.
Thanks,

In reply to: [Mailchimp for WooCommerce] Multilingual woocommerce site supportHey there @colv3r
Thanks for getting in touch. I definitely see how those features would be useful and would be glad to pass them along internally for you.
I’m afraid I can’t speak too much in-depth to the roadmap or ETA for when to expect new releases and what updates may come in each release. However, you are welcome to keep an eye on the plugin’s github page here where you can share feedback or keep an eye on specific issues or feature requests.
If you need anything else, feel free to let us know.
