  • Hey @vmajor

Sorry to hear of these issues that have cropped up after activation. I was unable to replicate this issue in my testing, and I’d like to gather a few more details to investigate this further if you’re interested in diving deeper into this.

    – Could you provide the site’s WooCommerce System Status Report?
    – Are you seeing any specific errors in the site’s logging or in the built-in logging under MailChimp for WooCommerce Settings > Logs?
    – Does this issue persist when deactivating all other plugins except WooCommerce and MailChimp for WooCommerce?
    – Does this issue persist when switching to a different theme?

Thanks in advance for this information and for providing this feedback.

    Hey @madame-mooshi

Sorry to hear you’re running into issues with the Product Content Block. Once the plugin syncs with a list in the MailChimp account, that list should have e-commerce features enabled including the content block. While I can’t speak to depth on the MailChimp app itself, I might suggest double checking to be sure the campaign is connected to a list which is connected to your store via MailChimp for WooCommerce.

If you’re still running into trouble, I would suggest reaching out to MailChimp’s Support Team. They can open your account with you and help troubleshoot further.

    Thanks,
    Malachite

    Hey there @livylynnvintage

I appreciate the feedback here. I can see how this is less than ideal for your users and would like to learn a bit more about this so we can investigate from our side of things.

Would you be able to elaborate a bit on the specific workflow leading up to the issue here? Specifically:

    – Could you provide a step-by-step workflow of each step occurring leading up to the unexpected behavior?
    – Could you clarify how this unexpected behavior presents itself on the MailChimp side of things and/or in WooCommerce?

Thanks again for your feedback and any additional details you can provide.

    Hey @vmajor,

Thanks for sharing this feedback. Conflicts with outside features can certainly occur from time to time and I’d like to help investigate this with you if you’re still using the plugin. If possible, could you provide the following details?

    – A copy of the site’s WooCommerce System Status Report
    – When you see that the website fails with the plugin enabled, are you able to capture any errors in any logging you have setup for the site, or in the logging tab within MailChimp for WooCommerce’s settings?
    – Does this behavior persist when deactivating all plugins besides WooCommerce and MailChimp for WooCommerce?
    – Is this pop-up form being added through MailChimp’s native signup forms, or by way or a different plugin?

Thanks in advance for sharing these details. I’ll keep an eye out for your response.

    Hey @jerrysarcastic

That’s great feedback that I can certainly pass along to our team. The plugin does require that WooCommerce be active on the site as a minimum requirement, but breaking existing site behavior is definitely far from ideal. I’ll pass this idea to check for an active WooCommerce plugin before activating along to our developer team.

Thanks for your post. Let us know if you have any other questions.

    Hey @sebastianmantilla

Thanks for sharing this. I can certainly help look into this with you. Just to gather a bit more context, could you provide some more details about the site for me?

    – Can you provide the site’s WooCommerce System Status Report?
    – Does this error message persist when switching to a different theme?
    – Does this error message persist when deactivating all plugins except for WooCommerce and MailChimp for WooCommerce?
    – Does this error persist in a test hosting environment?
    – Are you seeing any unexpected behavior with the plugin or the site as a result of this error message?

Thanks in advance for providing as much context as possible here. I’ll keep an eye out for your reply.

    Hey @michael-shinosky

Thanks for chiming in here. Would you be able to provide a few more details to help us look further into this behavior? Specifically:

    – Can you provide the site’s WooCommerce System Status Report?
    – If you are able to replicate this behavior with a test purchase, what is the step by step process being taken leading up to this result?

If you’re unable to share this information in the public forum, you are welcome to reach out to MailChimp’s Support Team through your MailChimp account. More info on reaching out to their team can be found here.

    Thanks,
    Malachite

    Hey there @valery286340

Thanks for your post. I’m afraid that this wouldn’t be possible with the MailChimp for WooCommerce plugin. There are two limitations in place here to mindful of:

First, MailChimp’s API that drives the plugin only allows a store to connect to 1 MailChimp list. So this means all e-commerce data is only ever going to flow into a single list. This means that everything in MailChimp you want to sync with e-commerce data must be consolidated into a single list.

The second constraint to be aware of is that the plugin only syncs e-commerce data, the First Name field, the Last Name field, and the E-mail Address field. Unfortunately it won’t be possible to sync customers to specific segments or groups, though it is possible to segment by the purchase data that is passed over. You can read more about this in MailChimp’s Knowledge Base:

Additionally, I went ahead and passed your feedback along to our developers to look into ways to customize the fields that track back to MailChimp, which would allow for some more custom sorting. You can keep track of the issue on Github here, if you’re curious. If you have any other questions, feel free to let me know!

    Hey there @karl19,

Thanks for sharing your feedback here. Including the order status is a feature we’ve been hearing from several users of the plugin, and something that our developers are aware of and working to develop for future versions of the plugin. This does include the ability to sort out those cancelled orders that – from the MailChimp side – cannot be distinguished from completed orders. I will be passing along your specific note of feedback so we can continue tracking volume on this request.

Again, thanks for sharing this feedback with us. If you have any further questions about syncing data or using the plugin, feel free to let us know. You can keep an eye on the github issue to track this issue as it develops.

    Thanks,
    Malachite

    Hey @juzzz,

I’m sorry to hear about that! Thank you for replying with a copy of your WooCommerce System status report, and for those additional details. I can see that you meet WooCommerce’s minimum Server Recommendations, which is excellent. Next it will be necessary to check out the API calls being sent to MailChimp – to do that, could you please reach out to the MailChimp support team following this help guide, here: https://kb.mailchimp.com/accounts/management/mailchimp-support-options and include a link to this forum post as well as any Errors you see being logged in the MailChimp for WooCommerce app log? That will allow their team to take a closer look at the connected store and look for any errors.

    Thanks again!

    Hi @blightse,

I’m sorry to hear that you’ve had so much trouble with the plugin! I can tell that this has been a frustrating experience for you, and I apologize for that. To clarify a bit, we would not expect the MailChimp for WooCommerce plugin to delete or remove any email templates or automations. If this happened the MailChimp support team would certainly want to take a look at your connected MailChimp account and help out. Please reach out to that team as detailed here: https://kb.mailchimp.com/accounts/management/mailchimp-support-options and include a copy of your WooCommerce System Status report and link to this thread. That will allow their support team to take a closer look at your system setup and at the incoming API calls the plugin is sending.

    Thank you!

    Hi @juzzz,

Thanks for the post. It should take roughly one hour for every 5,000 records to sync. Please let us know if you have any other questions we can help out with!

    Cheers,

    Pearl

    Hey @arthur0h

Thanks for sharing that system status page. I certainly appreciate the feedback, though I would like to pass this case along to our development team so we can take a closer look at this case and others like it.

Just to be sure we have a thorough look at the situation, could you provide any logging that appears in the “Logs” tab when this behavior occurs? This can be found under Plugins > MailChimp for WooCommerce Settings > Logs.

Thanks in advance for this. I’ll keep an eye out for your reply.

    Hey @adinnie

Glad to hear the plugin is syncing your store data now. Since the “No List Selected” error on the Connected Sites page seems to be specific to the MailChimp account, it may be worth getting in touch with MailChimp’s Support Team, who can login to view your account with you. You can learn more about their Support options here.

Let us know if there’s anything else we can do to help from the plugin side of things!

    Hey @jcdesignstudio,

I certainly imagine the frustration that comes with having to work without the ability to sync category data. Unfortunately, the plugin right now only supports syncing First Name, Last Name, Email Address, and purchase data. That said, I am collecting feedback for our team and I’ll be certain that yours make it along to our development team to track the growing concern for this capability.

Thanks for taking the time to share your feedback. Let us know if you have any further questions.
