Not sure how they are different as I am not a french citizen, I am just selling there through my e-commerce site. And then I searched that Cartes Bancaires is the most preferred paying option in there. And then I saw that you can activate this method in Stripe. I looked in other FR e-commerce stores and they have the Cartes Bancaires logo separately on their paying options, although they also have Visa and Mastercard options avaliable. This is what Google sais about Cartes Bncaires: “Carte Bancaires (CB) is a well-known debit and credit card payment scheme in France. Carte Bancaires cards are most often co-branded with MasterCard and Visa.”.
So it is a separate payment method which I also have activated in my Stripe account but which does not appear on my e-shop. There should appear the Cartes Bncaires logo when activated next to Visa and Mastercard.- This reply was modified 5 years, 4 months ago by miae.
