Good news! I resolved the issue. There were images in the site that were from screenshots, and the filenames had a narrow no-break space character ( ) in the filename. I renamed the files and the site generated static pages in seconds.

Hi @patrickposner. Thanks. I checked the local development environments doc, and am running on local WP, SSL, etc. One thing I’ve noticed is that the fetching on the Activity Log gets to within 13 of the total pages and then doesnt update beyond that. It seems to be the same number each time (currently 187 of 200 pages/files). I’ve tried on different computers, it stops at the same place. Could it be due to a corrupted file?
