In reply to: Did I make a mistake??Thanks – stvwlf,
i got it to work, but how can I make it so that no matter what the user types in the browser, www. or without www they will ultimately see the site?

In reply to: Did I make a mistake??i followed the directions and removed the www from the database file so now it looks like http://iprintusa.com in the database file, then I went to the browser and typed iprintusa.com and the url changes to http://www.iprintusa.com and give me the generic “newly registered” html page. Will this change take time to implement? I cleared my cache in my browser but still the same thing. Any suggestions?

In reply to: White Screen of Death…..PLEASE HELP>!!!!!I think the issue of why I can’t see the the site the same way you can is because of my recent dns change, that takes time to propagate throughout the internet. My real issue is that I’m experiencing the white screen on the NEW server to which I migrated the OLD server data, files, etc to. My hosting company doesn’t can’t do a roll back because I have a dedicated server with them.

In reply to: White Screen of Death…..PLEASE HELP>!!!!!I changed the dns for the the domain http://www.121mediasolutions.com so therefore it should change all the sub directory files as well to point to the old server. I was getting the white screen on the NEW server so i changed the DNS to point back to the OLD server and now BOTH are not working!!
When I did the transfer, I did a server to server migration using plesk. I did this about 5 days ago. So everything was working properly. Then something happened last night where the domain settings in the NEW server were deleted. So I went back an added the domain in plesk and used the same old ftp configuration and nothing happened. This is where I’m at right now.
One solution I’m thinking of is to WIPE the NEW server entirely and re-do the migration from the old to the new. But what worries me is that the OLD server is also producing the white page! I really don’t know what the problem could be!!??!!

In reply to: MAJOR PROBLEM….PLEASE HELP>>>>i don’t think I wiped the root – I’m still breathing!!!
I think now it seem like it might be the index.php main file which probably was the SAME name as the phpBB file name – so when I uninstalled it it wiped out that file need for the WP stuff.
At least this is what I’m hoping it is….I’ll give it a try now….

Can I add the basic index.php file from the wp original installation files?

In reply to: Multi Site install shows sub-site admin but no site content*andrea* – i did import the plugin using the plugins screen. As for the error logs, I really don’t know where they might be and even if I saw them I may not be able to tell if there was a problem or not. This is where my lack of knowledge and experience in these matters stand out like a sore thumb. :(.

In reply to: Multi Site install shows sub-site admin but no site contentI installed the wp importer as the network admin then I used the import feature to import the xml for the the main site. Once done, I moved to the subdirectory site and clicked on import that’s when I get the white screen.
