In reply to: Editing pages issueoops, forgot to tick Resolved.
Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Editing pages issueIn the end it proved to be ridiculously easy. A friend suggested clearing my browser’s cache, which I did, and its all working perfectly.

In reply to: Editing pages issueI didn’t create the website but I have been managing it for over a year. I have not deleted Visual Composer.
Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Editing pages issueThanks for the reply. I don’t have Visual Composer installed so that’s not it. Oddly, the problem is not replicated on my iPad nor does it happen on a friends PC when I tried it earlier. So it looks like an issue with my PC.

In reply to: Posts default text colourThanks. I’ll have a look at that tomorrow.
Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Posts default text colourThe left hand box shows the issue. The top two paras are black because I changed them, the last para is the default colour.

In reply to: Posts default text colourI’m sorry but I’ve got this all wrong. Posts are absolutely fine. It’s the text in Message boxes that’s shows grey. My apologies.

In reply to: Posts default text colourI sort of expected that answer but I can assure you that when I create a new post the text is grey and I have to change it to black. And if, having saved the post I go back to it and add more text then the new text is again grey.

In reply to: [TablePress - Tables in WordPress made easy] Formatting an individual rowThat’s it. Thanks.
It’s good to know that I had got it right and I’ll note the cache closing for future reference.
As ever, great service.

In reply to: [TablePress - Tables in WordPress made easy] Formatting an individual rowSorry, I should point out I’ve done more work since I first posted on here. What was row 3 in my post is now row 4
The top row of headings is white text on a blue background, I want to replicate this on row 4, the headings for the second set of graphs.

In reply to: [wpForo Forum] Error message explanationOK, from the Overview page I have deleted all caches and clicked on Clean up. I then went back to the error log and nothing has changed, it is still generating lots of the first error and the occasional pairs of the second error.
As I said in my original post, as far as I can tell the forum is working perfectly. I got a couple of mates to act as test users and they successfully created new threads and replied to others. Again, as far as I know, I am doing nothing to actually create these errors they just happen, presumably as a result of something when setting up the forum in the first place.
I am on a hosted service and so do not have access to the error log files.
Since everything seems to be working, I’m tempted to just ignore the errors.

In reply to: [wpForo Forum] Error message explanationYes is the quick answer but I couldn’t say whether it was immediate or after I started building the forum. The errors come from the wpforo error page but I was told by the wpforo user forum it was a WordPress issue rather than wpforo.

In reply to: [TablePress - Tables in WordPress made easy] Browser alignment issuesThank you, that’s got it. I’ll play safe this time and copy & paste the CSS into a text document, just in case.
