In reply to: Can I rename category and slug?Is there such a thing as a redirect rule which would work in the htaccess file for redirecting any old permalinks with old category “Red Rover” to new category “Red”?
So that any old posts with structure
http://www.my site.com/red-rover/post-1
http://www.my site.com/red-rover/post-2
http://www.my site.com/red-rover/post-3would automatically be redirected to
http://www.my site.com/red/post-1
http://www.my site.com/red/post-2
http://www.my site.com/red/post-3Is this possible with a redirect rule to cover all?
Thank you again.

In reply to: Can I rename category and slug? Thanks ss_minnow. Yes, my permalinks include categories. So what would be the best approach here? Thanks again.

In reply to: Can I rename category and slug?I have been reading in some posts that renaming category would automatically rename the slug and that the post URLs would be automatically rewritten and that there should be no problem. Is this true or will my already indexed URLs be a total mess? Thanks

In reply to: Happy Cat/Paws Theme broken in IEmoshu, I did send a note to the author(s) at http://www.highlandsbydesign.com/ before I posted here. I was simply trying to see if anyone else here has tried this theme and perhaps already come across the solution(s). I’m sure I’m not the only one trying out the theme, as there have been 262 downloads! But thanks for your help anyway.

In reply to: Relaxation Theme by JowraIf I understand you correctly, then you should remove the line right above the one you just uncommented. The entire line after
<div id=”header”>
and before
<a href=”<?php echo get_settings

In reply to: Relaxation Theme by JowraWhich part of the instructions are you having difficulty with?
– Upload your header image to the /images/ folder within the /relaxation/ theme folder. Either name it header.gif or change the “header.gif” entry in the above to whatever your image is named.
– “uncomment” simply means remove “<!–” and “–>” from the above.Forum: Themes and Templates
In reply to: Relaxation Theme by JowraPerrine, your header image should be a header.gif entry on line 23 (second last line) of your header.php file. Don’t forget to change the default size of width=”200″ height=”100″, found on the same line, if your personalised logo size is different.

In reply to: [Announce] Donation PluginThe way I look at it, people who use this plugin will be asking for donations, so they shouldn’t be too surprised if they themselves are asked to do what they ask of their visitors, and donate.
You have a point.

In reply to: [Announce] Donation PluginInteresting that comments are disabled at the OP’s site. :\
I think this idea should be carefully reconsidered. That’s just my 2 cents though.

In reply to: changed an address and screwed up my blog – help?Incidentally, in a vast majority of these cases, if you’re fortunate enough to have the same browser window open in which the error first occurred, if you go back (yes, the Back button) in your browser, the admin Manage Options should still be cached. Once back at the admin Manage Options page, if you then retype the original info and hit the Save button, the changes are reverted. It also helps to jump straight back to the cached admin page, not go back one page at a time.
Discovered that one by accident one day.
Other than that, it’s off to database, as geoff pointed out. Great tutorial, by the way, geoff. Passing on the link, thanks.

In reply to: install.php not openingYour main domain is redirecting to Blogger. Perhaps that’s the problem?
edit: well, not any more, apparently

In reply to: Colour advice pleaseThe style of the button and search box depends on the theme/Appearance of the operating system on the machine you are using. As an example, if using Windows, change the theme/Appearance from Windows Classic to Windows XP, etc. and see how that affects what you are viewing.
