I have everything except the fact that the left box seems to have a margin or some padding at the top, unlike the right box.

The problem was the “redirection” plugin. Urban Giraffe has a fix for it.
Having the same issue Samuel… just started tonight. Tried to add a page and it now the homepage redirects to that page.
That is what my site is doing as well.
