Thanks forum the update!
In out case manipulation is not an issue, easy of use comes first. No problem if you cannot do it now, but it’s good that I know 🙂
I created a new gallery, I imported manually all the pictures saved from the previous one.
What is missing is the title and description of each of them.
I downloaded the CSV from the NEW gallery and it looks very similar to the one from the old one.
Why don’t you provide an “import CSV” function? maybe it’s doable.
I am sorry, that I am not able to provide adaption for pre v7 galleries.
No problem, but when this happens, I think you should provide a “fallback” source code that allows old galleries to work.
When Word introduced DOCX they didn’t abandon all the DOC files… they simply froze the old source code for reading DOC for backward compatibility.
You can export CSV image data then you will get the original sources and then you can reimport them
You mean there is an “import” function from CSV? I couldn’t find it.
Actually a “conversion” feature for old galleries would be appreciated… think about it: all the pre-v7 galleries around the world stopped working…
Ok, but if I copy the old one, the images are lost.
Can I import the old images+votes into the new gallery? There is no backup/restore function, apparently. The cookie option is for the use cases where cheating is not a real issue… We just want to dissuade most users from clicking multiple times the star.
Usually people don’t even know what “cookies” are. They won’t delete them.

I forgot to mention that I disabled voting in Facebook, meaning that the lower left corner is quite empty and the icon is not easily noticed.
The only problem is that I didn’t enable comments in the single pic view, and people think the big X is for hiding the title bar… But instead, they close the pic view altogether.
That’s why I thought they the “eye” icon and the X should be next to each other, since their effects are related.Still, shouldn’t the error messages appear in red? people may miss them.
Oh, NOW after your last update and the coloured backgrounds I see why some were preselected and some not.
I didn’t notice that I had to approve each one of them 🙂In this case you should split the activation/deactivation and deletion. If you combine the checkboxes, issues will result.
I think that a second checkbox per photo called “to be deleted” will solve the problem.Right now it’s very easy to understand that active images are selected and so on, but still when a single image has to be deleted, there is risk of getting some other ones selected and deleted.
Also, I haven’t checked yet, but is the “Reset all informed” going to pop up a confirmation dialog, to ensure that REALLY everything ig going to be deleted?
Also, a better English translation would be “Reset all information” or, more clear, “Delete ALL images and data”I tried again and it works, strange because another person besides me was telling me about it.
