In reply to: [Jetpack Social] Jetpack not posting to second LinkedIn accountHi Stef
Since disabling xmlrpc.php in my .htaccess, I have published two posts. Jetpack Social shared them both successfully on both my LinkedIn accounts – and Facebook.
Problem solved (at least for me.)
I’ll continue monitoring and let you know if I have any further sharing issues.
Regards
Nigel

In reply to: [Jetpack Social] Jetpack not posting to second LinkedIn accountThanks Alin
I did some further testing by disconnecting both LinkedIn accounts and reconnecting them in reverse order. I think this is why the problem’s showing up on my personal account, which is now the second account.
As suggested, checked https://news.cyprus-property-buyers.com/xmlrpc.php – this is blocked by my ISP – “For your security, this request has been blocked by the Heart Internet Web Application Firewall. This may happen if the request contains unusual or potentially unsafe data.”
I have disabled xmlrpc.php in my .htaccess and run a quick test. Both LinkedIn accounts displayed the posts. I’ll keep xmlrpc.php disabled to see if this solves the problem.

In reply to: [Jetpack Social] Jetpack not posting to second LinkedIn accountHi Alin
You were right the first time, I ‘lost’ the www. bit last year (it’s a long story.)
I’ve been checking my Jetpack settings (https://news.cyprus-property-buyers.com/wp-admin/admin.php?page=jetpack#/settings) and got an error message “Jetpack encountered an error and was unable to display the Dashboard. Please try refreshing the page. Contact support” Refreshing didn’t fix it.
The same problem has occurred on my personal Linkedin account. https://i.ibb.co/m5X5908K/JPfail.jpg
I’ve just spotted an error in my https://wordpress.com/me page. Changed Public web address to remove www. Maybe this was the problem?Regards
Nigel

In reply to: [Jetpack Social] Jetpack not posting to second LinkedIn accountThanks for getting back to me Alin.
I’ve run the test – https://jptools.wordpress.com/debug/?url=https://news.cyprus-property-buyers.com/
It shows “Oops! Jetpack Blog not found.”
It does seem to be an intermittent problem.
I started using Cloudflare – I was getting thousands of hits from bots. I included ‘LinkedlnBot’ in my allowed list. Maybe it takes time to filter through.
I’ll mark it as resololved.

In reply to: [MailPoet - Newsletters, Email Marketing, and Automation] Server crashing? Thanks Ojoma
Host replied as follows:
“I have investigated your issue further, and from what I was able to identify, your website was using the FPM PHP, which seems to be more compatible with FastCGI PHP, and also the PHP limits were set to minimum on the server.“I made proper adjustments, and the website seems to be loading properly now with no errors for this time.
Please check and let me know if everything is working properly for you or if you still encounter issues.”
(I’ve been on this server since 2011 but the problem only started a week ago. I’ll be moving to a new server in a week or two)

In reply to: [MailPoet - Newsletters, Email Marketing, and Automation] Server crashing? My apologies – the problem on my VPS has returned this morning after I deactivated both MailPoet plugins.
I’ve raised the issue with my hosting provider.
Apologies again
Nigel
Thanks Steve
Thanks Joseph, that’s fixed it.
Best regards
NigelHi @joseph
Yes, the helper plugin was active – I’ve just disabled it.
The modal image without the helper plugin active works OK. But as you will see on the page, the copyright image at the foot of the article is stretched.
I mainly use Firefox and occasionally Chrome and (rarely) Edge. The problem shows on all three browsers.
Regards
Nigel
Many thanks Joseph for your quick reply and the fix
It worked – problem solved

In reply to: [WPS Hide Login] WPS Hide Login = 404I also hit this problem. I solved it by:
Renaming the wps-hide-login in the plugins directory to wps-hide-login99.
Logging into the website dashboard normally.
Renaming the wps-hide-login99 in the plugins directory back to wps-hide-login
Reactivating the plugin
Checked wp_options to ensure setting correct.

In reply to: [Super Progressive Web Apps] Failed to update a ServiceWorker for scopeHi SuperPWA – thanks for getting back to me.
You can find screenshot at https://imgur.com/a/Bl9thYp
The problem (I think) is caused because ServiceWorkerManagement.js is loading from a cdn.
Regards,
Hi – I’m having the identical issue.
Lighthouse reports:
TypeError: Failed to update a ServiceWorker for scope (‘https://www.news.cyprus-property-buyers.com/’) with script (‘https://www.news.cyprus-property-buyers.com/OneSignalSDKWorker.js.php’): An unknown error occurred when fetching the script.
OneSignalSDKWorker.js.php is in my root directory.
Any thoughts?
