Hello Laurent,
Thank you so much for your detailed feedback and for taking the time to explain the issue so clearly. We really appreciate your kind words about GutenSlider, and your technical suggestions are very helpful. We will keep these points in mind, especially the block.json attribute declaration and multisite compatibility concerns, when working on future improvements and when building new widgets/blocks. Thanks again for sharing this with us.

Hi @blackstar1991
Thanks for sharing this example. Actually, it is a content slider. Here, a default gray color is used for the background, but you can use a background image instead of a color.
Since it is a content slider, it is not possible to set images with different heights directly. However, there is an option to make each slide adjust its height based on the content. Go to:
Layout & Content Settings → Layout Height Switcher → Select “Adapt”
This will make each slide adjust its height according to its inner content. If you want to use a background image, you can do that as well. It will cover the full slide. But the slide height will still depend on the content inside.
Now, if you want to use only images in the slides and have the slide height depend on the image height, then you need to use the Flexi Content Block. Insert a Flexi Content Block and then place the image block inside each Flexi Content item. After that, add as many slides as you need, and again set:
Layout Height Switcher → Select “Adapt”
This way, the slide height will depend on the image height. I’m also sharing a video with you. Watching it might help you better understand.

In reply to: [Slider Block for Gutenberg Gutenslider by GSlider] fade effect loading issueHi @skullblaka ,
Great news! I have just released version 1.1.5 which fixes the fade effect loading issue you reported.
To resolve the issue:
Update the plugin to version 1.1.5 (available now in your WordPress dashboard)
Go to the page where you are using the slider
Open it in the editor and click Update/Save once
Refresh your frontend page
The fix prevents the initial right-to-left animation that was appearing briefly on page load when using the fade effect. If you still experience any issues after updating, please let me know and I will be happy to help further. Thank you for your patience and for reporting this issue, it helps us improve the plugin for everyone!
Best,
NoruzzamanOk thanks

NoruzzamanHi @danieldhv
Just a quick update on this. I had originally planned to include the “Add New Slide” action in the very next release, but unfortunately it was not possible to finish it in time, so the button in the List View has been removed for now.
I still consider this an important improvement for the Flexi Content block and I am planning to implement proper support for adding a new slide directly from that button in a future update. Thanks again for your patience and for pointing this out.

NoruzzamanHi @danieldhv
Thanks a lot for the feature suggestion. Keyboard navigation with the arrow keys has now been added to the plugin. If you update to the latest version, you will find a setting in the block options that lets you enable keyboard navigation for the slider. Please update to the newest version and give it a try. If you still do not see the option or run into any issues, let me know and I will be happy to help you.

NoruzzamanThanks a lot for your suggestion about deactivating single slides, it is a very useful idea. The good news is that starting from WordPress 6.9, there is now a native “Hide” option for any individual block in the editor, including each Flexi Content Item (your single slides).
So if you are using our Flexi Content slider and want to hide just one specific slide, you can do it directly from the editor like this:
1. Make sure your site is running WordPress 6.9 or later.
2. Open the page with your Flexi Content slider in the block editor.
3. Open the List View panel (top-left icon).
4. Find the Flexi Content Item (the slide you want to hide).
5. Click the three-dot (…) menu next to that item.
6. Click “Hide”.
https://i.ibb.co.com/WWzYWgDT/Screenshot-2.pngThat single slide will now be hidden on the frontend, but it will stay visible in the editor so you can easily bring it back later.
Right now, our base block only has options to control the full slider, not a separate on/off toggle for each slide inside the block. I do like the idea of adding a dedicated per-slide enable/disable setting inside the block itself, and I have added this to our feature list for a future update.
For now, the WordPress 6.9 Hide control should give you exactly what you need to hide individual slides inside Flexi Content. Thanks again for the feedback, it really helps us decide what to improve next.

NoruzzamanHi @danieldhv
Thanks a lot for the feature suggestion, being able to deactivate individual slides would indeed be very useful. Right now GSlider (and the underlying Swiper.js library we use) does not provide a built-in option to turn single slides on or off, so this is not possible via a simple setting yet. That said, I really like your idea and I have added it to our feature list to investigate. If it turns out to be technically feasible without causing issues for performance or usability, I will work on adding a per-slide “enable/disable” option in a future update. Thanks again for sharing this feedback like yours helps us decide what to improve next.

NoruzzamanHi @danieldhv
Thanks a lot for reporting this and for the clear explanation, really nice catch. You are absolutely right. when the Flexi Content block is selected in the List View, the Plus button in the context menu is not actually hooked up to add a new slide yet. So at the moment this feature is not available, which is why nothing happens when you click it. Sorry for the confusion this causes. I will try to get this implemented in the next release. Thanks again for taking the time to point it out.
