Okay:
the problem occurs in both Firefox and Safari.
in Chrome no problem!
WordPress version: 6.1.1
PHP version: 8.1.17
eCommerce Product Catalog version: 3.3.10Hi,
no I don’t see an error, and basically nothing happens, where something should happen.
I just can’t click and type in the visual editor of the short description.
I can edit it in the text editor of the short description, but if I then switch to the visual editor I see nothing there. It does appear on the site if I add something throught te text editot, but I would reall prefer not to have to use the text editor (especcially when the client needs to add stuff themselves).
What I haven’t tried yet is another browser. Let me check that!Update: I thought the issue was resolved, but unfortunately it returned!
I can’t edit the short description of a product in the visual editor.
I hope this is something you can fix! Thanks!thanks for your reply.
I do hope I don’t run into more things I will have to buy to make it work as needed… Since this is not a very commercial site, more a community thing I am hoping to keep fees as low as possible.
If it turns out – later in the process – that I need one or more extra add-ons, is it then possible to upgrade to a bundle deal?- This reply was modified 3 years, 2 months ago by omniafausta.
Hi,
so far it all looks great, but I have an additional question: Since I want to show prices and totals, I need the shopping cart mode right?
But when I then go to checkout I get the option to not only enter an invoice address but also a shipping address.
Since people need to pick up the items, no delivery possible, I don’t want to show this part.
I have found 3 files that mention the DELIVERY ADDRESS, I think the relevant one is shopping-settings.php. Can I override the function in my functions.php to get a different form?Or is this changing the form only possible with the Shopping Cart Checkout Customizer?
thanks!
JokeThank you! Sounds perfect. I will try this plugin then!
@txfig
thanks for getting back to me, but I guess I didn’t explain myself correctly… there are almost 400 items, and people need to be able to add several different and multiple of these items (and these choices will change per person) to their cart / order form. So really like a normal online shopping cart, except without paying upfront….Thanks, I was kind of afraid of that… cause I think WooCommerce might be a bit heavy and I find it not very transparent which functionality you get in the free version and what you would have to pay for.
Since it is a not very commercial site (more community-based) I would like to keep yearly costs at a minimum.
I was also looking at eCommerce Product Catalog Plugin for WordPress by impleCode, which looks really really nice, but to add the ordering button you would need a premium shopping cart addon.
I guess I am gonna try to implement WooCommerce.- This reply was modified 3 years, 4 months ago by omniafausta.
@mbrsolution thanks for your reply, sorry to hear that!
@txfig thanks for the tip. I just looked into it, and it looks like it is not the option I am looking for. This looks like making an order form with all the products in it. Since it is almost 400 items that people can lend/hire this would not work…. I guess really need more like a webshop, but without payment online… Maybe WooCommerce will be the way to go after all.
ah thanks! I hadn’t seen the download zip option, because that makes sense, after that it was easy!
Installed the plugin and it seems to work in my test (just waiting for my client to confirm).
Will this version be updated when a normal update comes along?thanks
