Yes, it is definitely an issue with an old JS library. Like I said: the theme is an old one, or to be more precise a custom child theme I made years ago, based on an old theme that is unfortunately no longer updated.
Making a new (child)theme with all the custom work that went in there is something I can do, but it will cost the client money she may not want to spend.Thanks for your response anyway, it confirms what I suspected. I will see if I can do something about the library, without breaking other parts of the site…

For now: reverted to CF7, even though I prefer your plugin, but at least that way it still works.

to see the problems in action I made a test page where I changed the amount in limit_content to 500:https://kafka-kring.nl/wordpress-kk21/testpage/
then things go wrong in several places:
– at the first article (not very visible, anly the read more button moves to the bottom of the page
– between the page excerpts of: Tweemaal Die Verwandlung and Kafka dag in dag uit Where the second article gets messed up and neither article shows their read more button
– at the bottom of the page finally the links appear from the very first page and from Kafka dag in dag uitThe read more buttons I created through CSS (with an ::after on the title)
trying to find the problem:
The content of the first item misses a closing div, on the original page (where limit_content is 600) this does NOT happenpatience helped, but now I have an issue with the host that does not allow this… Not your problem though
edited the record with the new value, but now it says it still finds the old value. Guess I need to wait a bit first?
oh now I get another message:

While in the customizer the quotes remain, once published the quotes disappear…So I guess this is some bug in the theme?
Is this something you can fix?
Or do you know a workaround?Thanks!

In reply to: [OceanWP] can’t add the “Baloo 2” google fonthmmm ,it looked like it worked: now It looks good while using the customizer, but the moment I publish the Baloo 2 turns into the standard font again because the extra quotes get stripped from the css…
The space in the name seems to be the issue, but not sure how to work around that!

I just realized my error!
in the array I entered ‘Baloo 2’ and that should be: ‘”Baloo 2″‘ with extra quotes.it now works!

I added it to the functions.php of my child theme, so far it is the only function besides enqueueing the parent style, so just directly after that.
The site is not live yet so I can’t share a page.
I can work around by just adding the google-font in another way and using CSS to make my H1 the way I want it, but I’d rather do it through the customizer.
