Being able to split the process into two parts… signup, then login to fill in all of the additional fields. Makes it easier for people to complete the process without getting overwhelmed by too many details in the beginning. Plus ideally in a two step process, that means also being able to use something like Social Login which can connect with a facebook account.
So in other words… having all of your extra fields, but only in the profile area, not in the initial signup process.
Actually, I found that using the User Avatar plugin worked better as it has the ability to crop images which is essential.
Now, if there was only a way to make signup a two step process, THAT would make things perfect! 😉
May have found the answer…

Seems to be working so far! Combine that with the User Avatar plugin and I seem to be in business!
Bingo! That was it! Thanks Marco…
Do you know of any other plugins that work well with yours for doing the same thing? Really like how the registration page and login page are embedded in the site with Theme My Login.
Found that the problem that led me to post this was a plugin conflict with Robots Meta. So, seems like the problem is solved!

In reply to: why is wp_get_attachment_thumb_url so temperamental??Couldn’t wait for a WordPress Angel to come along and solve this one. I’ve found that re-uploading the same image solves the problem. Seems like the wp_get_attachment_thumb_url function doesn’t work on “older” images.

In reply to: [Wordbooker] [Plugin: Wordbooker] Image wrong (since Update…)What should we be looking for in the diagnostics? Not seeing anything there that uses the word “image”. I just posted to FB with the new version of your plugin and there’s a blank spot where the image should be.
also having problems with this. Using
[nggallery id=14 template=galleryview images=7]And all I get are the usual thumbnails.
after reading your post, something clicked… I had set the overall DIV too wide, giving IE a chance to screw up.
dude, you kick ass… donating now!
Thanks Mike, read your attachements tips before posting. 🙂
Could it have been a phrase similar to “format not compatible”? Is there any error message when someone tries the wrong format?
Also, as I posted elsewhere… does the 1mb file attachment apply to each individual attachment field, or to the total upload limit? i.e. you have two attachment fields, each set to 1mb. Is the total allowed upload 2mb?
This was my other theory for why she got the error message as I have three attachment fields in the form.

In reply to: [Fast Secure Contact Form] [Plugin: Fast Secure Contact Form] AttachmentsHey Mike,
question about the file sizes… when you say there’s a 1MB upload limit, does that work PER attachment field, or for all? i.e. if we have three attachments fields on one form, can they each be 1MB or is it split into thirds?

In reply to: [Simply Poll] [Plugin: Simply Poll] Doesn't seem to register my resultsDead for me too. Same thing – looks like an Ajax refresh after voting, then nothing. Guessing there’s a plugin conflict, but no time to beta test… on to the next one!
