Hi Chris:
I worked with the plugin support people to figure out how to disable the 2nd plugin from capturing pageviews redundantly.
Also, I deleted a generic Pageview Tag in Google Tag Manager.
My GA stats are now only counting each hit once.
Thanks for your help!

Hi Michael:
1.) Wow! My Norton Security was auto-filling the UA Tracking ID field with my username whenever I would deleted the entry and click on the Update Options button. So, I fixed this part of the issue in Norton.
2.) The fix seemed to propagate very quickly, so I think the caching issue was a moot point.
Thanks for your help!

I already did that. There are 2 issues associated with removing the GA ID from settings.
1.) First of all, when I remove the UA-XXXX-X GA ID and then click on update options, it automatically fills in my User ID instead. So, instead of turning GA off, this causes error messages about an improperly formed UA/GA ID.
2.) Secondly, this change is not showing up in the source code when I do CTRL-U in Google Chrome browser. Is there a caching issue with the change not showing up? Does it take some time to take affect?
Thanks,

Everything appears to be OK now.Thanks again!

I looked at the HTML and found that the culprit is the following line:
ga(‘create’, ‘terencf8’, ‘auto’);
Instead of terencf8, it should be of the form UA-XXXXXX-X

Any help in figuring out what’s causing the ga.js message would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
