    Hi @c-tomoe

Thank you for flagging this and for sharing those references. We really appreciate you taking the time to report it.

We can confirm this was not related to the Booster plugin or our codebase in any way. The issue originated from a vulnerability on our hosting provider’s end, which briefly affected the booster.io website along with various other websites hosted on the same infrastructure. Our team identified it immediately and resolved the issue within minutes.

We’ve since implemented additional security measures to prevent any recurrence.

If you notice anything else, please don’t hesitate to reach out. Thanks again for looking out for the community.

    Best regards

    Hi @sofie1ele

You are 100% right. We do not expect any customer, especially a lifetime user, to pay to have a core bug fixed.

Our regular plugin updates consistently include fixes for issues reported by users, compatibility updates from changes in WordPress and WooCommerce, and bugs found by our own team. While all new feature development is now focused on the Booster Elite version, ensuring the core plugin is stable for our entire community remains a fundamental priority.

This debug log is extremely helpful. David (@gravid7) will take it from here to complete the analysis and will update you in this thread with his findings and the plan for a fix.

    Thank you for your patience.

    Hi @sofie1ele

Thank you for your persistence and the detailed report. I apologize for the frustration this has caused. We value you as a lifetime customer, and a recurring fatal error is unacceptable.

We are now setting up a clean test environment with Elementor and WooCommerce to replicate the behavior. Because we’re building this environment from scratch to find the core issue, it’s a more detailed process than analyzing an existing site directly.

To help us accelerate the diagnosis, if you have a moment to check a few things on a staging site, the information would be invaluable.

    • Fatal Error Log: The most helpful item is the specific error message. If you enable WP_DEBUG_LOG in your wp-config.php file and trigger the error, the message from the debug.log file in /wp-content/ would tell us exactly where the code is breaking.
    • Isolate the Module: You could also try deactivating all Booster modules and then re-enabling them in small groups to see which specific one triggers the error.
    • Permissions Test: As a temporary workaround, you could grant the edit_theme_options capability to the Shop Manager role to see if that resolves the conflict with the page builder.

We are still proceeding with our own replication, but any details you can provide would be very helpful.

Thank you for your patience while we investigate.

    Hi @sw231

Our apologies. This was marked resolved by mistake, with this exchange have now reopened it.

For the fastest and most secure resolution, we recommend opening a free support ticket on our website: https://booster.io/contact-us/. This allows us to privately gather the technical details needed to track and fix the issue.

However, if you are not comfortable with that, we can absolutely continue troubleshooting here. Just know that we cannot request any sensitive information on this public forum. To proceed here, could you please tell us your current versions of Booster, WordPress, and WooCommerce?

@gravid7 will personally handle this for you. No matter which route you choose, he will be sure to help you find a solution.

    Thanks for your patience.

    Hi @dwnl

Thank you for sharing your feedback and for being a longtime Booster user. We’re genuinely sorry to hear about your recent experience with our support, and we’d like to take this opportunity to clarify a few things and address your concerns.

Firstly, we deeply value all our lifetime customers, and we understand how the change in our support policy back in 2020 may have come as an unexpected shift. The decision to introduce a paid support model was not taken lightly. Prior to 2020, we faced an overwhelming volume of support requests, which made it challenging to provide the level of service we strive for. The introduction of the support plan was intended to improve response times and help us offer more dedicated assistance to customers who require ongoing support.

We want to emphasize that all customers, including lifetime license holders, continue to receive updates and bug fixes for the core plugin at no extra cost. However, as part of this policy change, the support plan is now optional and primarily intended for those seeking one-on-one help, troubleshooting, or customization advice beyond the scope of automatic updates.

We’re truly sorry if our response times were slower than expected in your case. We will review your specific situation to see what improvements can be made to avoid this happening again. We also acknowledge your concerns about the bug you encountered. If this is related to a technical issue on our end, we take full responsibility for addressing it, and we would be more than happy to investigate the matter further.

Please don’t hesitate to reach out directly at with any additional details regarding the bug or issue you’re facing, and we’ll do our best to resolve it promptly.

Once again, we appreciate your candid feedback. Your input is crucial in helping us improve and ensure a better experience for all Booster users moving forward.

Thank you for sharing your feedback and concerns regarding the changes made in 2021 to our licensing model for Booster for WooCommerce.

We understand that this transition may be frustrating for some of our early adopters who purchased lifetime licenses. However, we want to be transparent about the reasons behind this decision, which we made three years ago.

Our commitment to continuous innovation and providing top-tier support requires significant investment in resources. The previous model, while initially beneficial, was not sustainable in the long run due to the unforeseen scale of usage and, unfortunately, in some cases, misuse of lifetime licenses.

Additionally, the WordPress plugin industry has largely shifted away from lifetime licenses as a standard practice. We were receiving an overwhelming volume of support requests, making it impossible to maintain the high level of service our customers expect within reasonable timeframes.

To ensure the ongoing development and improvement of Booster for WooCommerce, and to align with industry standards, we had to make this difficult decision in 2021 to adopt a more sustainable licensing model.

We want to assure you that we value your early support immensely. As such, we are fully honoring the terms of the lifetime licenses purchased. This means you will continue to receive all updates and support that were available at the time of your purchase in 2021.

We understand that this may not fully address your concerns, but we believe that evolving our business practices is essential to ensure the long-term viability of Booster for WooCommerce and to continue providing the best possible product and support to all our customers.

Thank you for being a part of the Booster for WooCommerce journey. We appreciate your understanding and continued support.

    Sincerely,

    The Booster for WooCommerce Team
