In reply to: [PPWP - Password Protect Pages] categorie posts not excluded from viewsHi @stemeinke,
Thanks for reaching out to us.
You’re right on how our plugin works. Just clarify,
First, the Category Protection feature is used to protect all posts in a specific category at once, including the new posts. So once you activated the protected categories feature, password prompt is expected to show when viewing on all in this category, which I believe works correctly in your case.
Second, at the moment, Protected Content Visibility only applies to Individual Content Protection (ICP) and not Category Protection yet.
That’s why when you manually click on “Protect” on individual post (ICP), it will be removed from the selected views.
Anyway, could you please let us know what you want to achieve with our plugin in more details so that we can advise you better?
You might want to drop us an email at hello(at)preventdirectaccess.com for faster assistance.
We look forward to your reply.

In reply to: [PPWP - Password Protect Pages] Fatal error – no refundHi @klartext-ne,
Hope you’re doing great and everything goes well there.
You should already get your refund back quite a while ago. Can you please confirm it here?
Hope everything goes well there.
Have you got a chance to take a look at why we’re doing things that way yet, @bigevent?
We’d love to hear your feedback and thoughts on this.
Hello @malekxm,
Thanks for your feedback.
I believe there must be some misunderstanding here.
Actually, we’ve never ever collected any data from our users, e.g. their email and websites information unless you decide you subscribe to our email list.
In fact, no one should do it without user consent. It’s unethical and illegal.
Can you please show us where it says your email is collected?
We look forward to your reply,
Elena

In reply to: [PPWP - Password Protect Pages] Remove word Password: (using elementor)Hi @itism64,
Thanks for the compliment.
To assist you better, may we know if you’re protecting your content using Single (whole page) or Partial Content Protection?
Please send us that protected page URL so that we can double check it for you.

Hi @christianjunk ,
Thanks for getting back to us.
Actually, you can still restrict the quick access links (QAL) by time or click just like what you can do with passwords.
On the demo page, we set the usage limit of the quick access links to 1 click. So even when the customer the link, they can’t share it with anyone since it’s already expired.
However, the customer can still access the protected content multiple times after purchasing thanks to the saved cookie. You can shorten the cookies expiry to a few minutes, by the way.
Restricting QAL to logged-in users causes inconveniences requiring them to sign up and sign up. What’s more, the account can still be shared easily as well. Hence, we feel like it’s quite redundant and not totally secure at the same time.
Please check out the demo page and let us know if you have any other questions via this forum or our support email/form.

In reply to: [PPWP - Password Protect Pages] password protect 1 page onlyHi @jonmao ,
If that’s the case, you should set the cookie expiration time as short as possible, but not equal O.
Let’s say you set the cookie to expire after 1 minute. Once the cookie expires, users won’t be able to see the content when they reload the page or navigate to another place.
Our Password Protect WordPress Page (PPWP) can help you modify the cookie expiration time using setting UI instead of custom code.
Hope it makes sense to you.

In reply to: [PPWP - Password Protect Pages] Chaining Critical RequestHi @brucegyoung,
Thanks for letting us know.
Could you please share with us a screenshot of the performance issue?
Our team has tested the sitewide protection function with gtMetrix tool on our side.
The result shows that it only takes 0.7 seconds out of 2.5 seconds to load our CSS file as per this screenshot https://nimb.ws/Db6RXH.
The CSS file is pretty small and it shouldn’t affect the page’s loading that much.
Having said that, there is a way to speed up the page load. We can help you switch the CSS file to inline styles instead.
Please drop us an email at hello(at)preventdirectaccess.com so that we can further assist you.
We look forward to your reply.

In reply to: [PPWP - Password Protect Pages] Not mobile responsiveHi @lisalaw,
Thanks for reaching out to us last night.
It seems the issue comes from a CSS rule that you’ve set under WordPress Customizer below:
.ppw-ppf-input-container { padding: 150px !important; }Please change or remove 150px value for the form’s padding.
If you find it too technical, please drop us an email at hello(at)preventdirectaccess.com so that we can further assist you further.
We look forward to your reply.
Just an update, customizing partial content protection (PCP) form via WordPress Customizer is not available at the moment yet.
If you want to change the form style or update the form text, please use our [ppwp] shortcode attributes.
By the way, if you’re happy with our plugin features and support so far, can you leave us a kind review, please @richardschouw?
Thanks for your reply, @apollotekcm.
Could you please send us the password so that we can check it on our side?
