Thanks for the reply. I do indeed have the Avada/Fusion og:image creator disabled. See screenshot.
Even if this were to be the culprit for the additional og:image URL (which is the correct one), why is Yoast posting the wrong og:image URL?

I even tested with a manual post using your shortcode and while the WOD information is showing correctly, there’s no image whatsoever even though there is one on the Wodify WOD.
Any guidance you can provide would be appreciated.

As far as #3 (static vs dynamic), I’m totally good with it being static. In fact I’d prefer that for the reason you said about search, social, etc. If we need to tweak it, we’ll just go in and do in manually.
So I think we may just be down to getting that featured image to populate.

Now… your earlier info is quite helpful. I realize you’re not affiliated with Wodify… and hence why I’m happy to donate to your work and support on this plug in. I think it has great potential and the more I learn from you, the more I think it will deliver exactly what I’m expecting.
I’ll limit my questions to just your plugin and the direct API key method (the first setting in my screenshot).
The static page with manually inserting the wod shortcode is probably not what I’m seeking, although that seems very straightforward. With your update, it does pull in the image, but it doesn’t set it as the featured image… is that possible?
I am more interested in creating a new post with every WOD because that triggers autoposts to our social media outlets. It keeps our feed fresh and shows our workouts and photos to a broader audience on our website and on social.
So if I go this route, I would use your WOD SETTINGS to set all my parameters. Looks straightforward, I’ll experiment with it a bit.
A few clarifying quesitons:
- I assume if I put an image at the top of my “WOD” in Wodify and I select “Featured Image = YES” in WOD SETTINGS, (I currently have Post Images = No)… when it imports, will that first image be set as featured? I’m assuming yes, but want to be sure I have all parameters set the right way. Here’s my current set up (see https://snipboard.io/ptyH8I.jpg)
- To start experimenting, I created a WOD in Wodify, made sure it published to the Wodify app, then I assume I wait 15 minutes (per my setting) for it to create an autopost. Is that right?
- If your plugin makes an autopost when the workout is published to WODIFY, and then I change the workout in Wodify, for example, a day later… will the blog post update itself automatically? Or once it’s posted, is it static?
