For anybody else with the same issue, I managed to solve it thanks to the @poena from the WordPress issue tracker:
    https://core.trac.ww.wp.xz.cn/ticket/63040

The problem was that by default Content block did not inherit global (site wide) link colors, but was instead set to color secondary. To fix this just open styles sidebar, navigate to blocks panel, find Content block and set it’s link colors.

Sorry for my late response and thank you for your answer. Since there is no response on the theme forum, should I report an issue somewhere else? Maybe on the WordPress issue tracker?

The Gutemberg issue seems to only be present in Firefox 118.0.2 (64-bit). I tested it with the following web browsers and it works as expected with others:

    Linux
    Firefox 118.0.2 (64-bit)

    Linux
    Firefox 128.5.0esr (64-bit)

    Windows
    Firefox 133.0.3 (64-bit)

    Linux
Chromium 131.0.6778.139 (Official Build) built on Debian GNU/Linux trixie/sid (64-bit)

However, I am still unable to change link color with any of those browsers. The colors set in Editor > Styles > Colors > Link are ignored and links are instead colored with one of the colors from the palette. I tried choosing one of the presets available under Browse styles, link color changed but again if I tried to set any custom color under Styles > Colors > Link it is ignored.

    Hi Adam,

Thank you for your answer. Sorry for my late reply, I was working on something else and since I kind of managed to solve my problem I forgot to answer.

I am familiar with the two options you pointed out. But what I would like to do is somehow group categories into multiple groups and then specify template for each group of templates. I believe most logical solution is to group categories under parent category, create template for parent category and then make child categories to somehow inherit parents template.

After some research I could not find a way to do this, so I believe this is not possible in current version of WordPress. But I think it would be a nice feature to maybe implement someday.

So I ended up creating one template part for each type of category template I need, this template part contains whole template page. Then I created category template for each of my categories and inside category template I placed only this template part. This way I at least avoided coping templates, and I can change all templates of same type at once by modifying template part.
