In addition, If I remove the default value “today” the calendar at the bottom no longer displays on the page which is perfect. The problem then is the user has to manually select a date every time they fill out the form. My goal is to have the date auto populate every time the form loads to reduce the amount of steps the user must take to complete the form. Anyone out there to help with this issue?
