Thank you! That did the trick.
It says [profile_form] in Newsletter settings > Subscription Steps > Profile > Customized profile page (description).

I tried signing up with a Welcome mail enabled. I provided the {profile_url}, so I get a link like this, yet the shortcode still does nothing.
How has this not been answered yet? This is one of first questions I had seeing this plugin.
It should allow to login with username AND emailaddress, otherwise how is this an addition for my users? I want it to be flexible for them.
