In reply to: [WPAdverts - Classifieds Plugin] Description field is read-only“Disable Emojis plugin by LittleBizzy” is just a copy/paste with some syntax changes made different to the “Disable Emojis (GDPR friendly)” I made. So running them both at the same time is pointless.
This review also sums up my opinion of the other plugin:

I’m not sure why they even made it. It’s just the same thing with different labels :/I have no idea about your problem or the other plugin, but just wanted to point that out since I saw this pop up via a notification due to you using my name in your post.

In reply to: [Spam Destroyer] Contact From 7I haven’t checked support for Contact Form 7, but I assume it will not work without some specific code for that plugin sorry.

In reply to: [Unique Headers] Wrong custom header for category archiveI’m confused. Do you think this is something which should be fixed in the plugin?

In reply to: [Unique Headers] Use with event posts with the Event Calendar pluginI have absolutely no idea why it’s not working sorry. I don’t see any potential clashes with the code you posted above.
If you’d like me to investigate further, I’ll need admin / file system access to a site which has this problem for me to test on. Since I can’t replicate the problem, I’m not sure how else I can help debug it sorry.
I can be contacted privately with credentials via https://ryan.hellyer.kiwi/contact/. Just make sure you link to this thread in the email so I know what it’s referring to 🙂

In reply to: [Unique Headers] Use with event posts with the Event Calendar pluginSorry for the delay in responding. I tested this just now, but on my test site it is working perfectly.
Has this problem perhaps fixed itself automatically due to an update to the events calendar plugin?

In reply to: [Unique Headers] Wrong custom header for category archiveI looked into this just now, but I can’t replicate the issue. On my test site, the category archive always showed the primary header image when none is set for that category, not the first post in that category.

In reply to: [Unique Headers] Wrong custom header for category archiveGood spotting! I’ve set aside some time this weekend to look into this and another couple of bugs which I’d missed recently.

In reply to: [Unique Headers] Code to use in templateThis is a topic for the Unique Headers plugin. Your question is not about the plugin, it’s a request for assistance with how to use the WordPress header system.
I am here to help with the plugin. I’m not a help desk for generic WordPress questions 😉

In reply to: [Unique Headers] Code to use in templateIt does (in theory) work with every theme that uses the WordPress header system. It doesn’t matter if the header is implemented within a template part or not; whether code is loaded via a template part or not should be irrelevant.

In reply to: [Unique Headers] Code to use in templateThe plugin is intended for adding unique headers into the existing WordPress header system, not for implementing the WordPress header system itself. Such a plugin may be useful, but it would be a different plugin with a different purpose.
Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Unique Headers] Code to use in templateSince it’s just modifying the header image, you can call it in your template just as you would a regular header image (since that’s what it is). I don’t include instructions for that, since it’s a WordPress core thing, not something implemented by the plugin itself.
The other parts of your question are relating to post thumbnails, which are something different and not directly related to header images.

In reply to: [Disable Emojis (GDPR friendly)] Prefetching CDN againArgghh, I never got a notification about your post. I just spotted it now when visiting the plugin page. I’m hectically busy right now, but I’ll look into this for you when I’m free. You’ve been waiting four months, so I guess another couple of days won’t matter :/ Sorry for the delay.

In reply to: [Unique Headers] Use with event posts with the Event Calendar pluginThis should work. I’m not sure why it wouldn’t. I’m hectically busy right now, but I’m putting an alert in my calendar to remind me to look into this later for you.
