In reply to: [WooCommerce] New “LIVE” label on wordpress toolbar, why?Why on earth do you add a “Coming Soon” mode to WooCommerce core? As if we haven’t plenty of options availble that we can actively use and switch on. This “Live” badge and the tech & logic behind appears to me as the most useless feature the Woo-team has added ever :/

In reply to: [Presto Player] Conflicts with GDRP requirements! Thanks, @prajnajogi
I have enabled the ‘privacy-enhanced mode for YouTube,’ but, to be honest, this setting is not sufficient.
While it allows embedding videos without cookies, GDPR compliance requires preventing all connections to YouTube until explicit user consent is obtained.
I kindly request that your development team prioritize this issue, as it impacts all European website owners who embed YouTube videos using PrestoPlayer. I appreciate your attention to this matter and look forward to a prompt solution.
Kind regards

In reply to: [Filter Plus - WordPress Filter Plugin & WooCommerce Product Filter] ScamActually, the description text is still misleading, you should remove this part:
“WordPress Filter Helps you to filter blogs, custom post type by Categories, Tags, Author, Post Meta, Custom Fields and so on.You can Filter Everything in WordPress.”
Thanks for clarifying π
Hi, I was using the “Block Manager” feature of Block Visibility. I thought this allows me to disable some blocks and hide them from the editor.
Thanks for your reply.
I think a better and more accurate categorization can be achieved quite easily by applying multiple categories to each vendor/plugin and modify the filter-facets accordingly π

In reply to: [Embed Privacy] Does not work with Presto PlayerHey there,
I have checked all updates since I had posted this issue, but it seems that Presto Player is still unsupported, correct?
Any ETA for this?
The reason I ask is that few clients of mine use the Presto Player in conjunction with Borlabs Cookies βcontent blockerβ. The only 3rd party providers they use are YouTube or Vimeo for hosting their videos. So using a complete Consent Banner solution like Borlabs, Complianz or Real Cookie Banner seems like overkill and also harms bounce rates.
They’d prefer to use a simpler method like your βEmbed Privacyβ plugin, but as long as it doesn’t cover the Presto Player they still need to stick with these bloated consent banners π
Would be really cool and helpful, if you can provide some info on this.
Have a lovely day βοΈ
Sascha
You solved it! Thanks π
I wish you would update for single fixes more often, rather than multiple fixes at once but with longer release circles π
Thanks π Any update about the ETA of the new version?
Thank you for your reply and recommendation, works well now!
But after the checkout, the customer should access the course immediately. Instead, he is presented with the checkout-confirmation-page, and there is no link or button, which would lead/redirect the customer to the course-page.
How to optimize this?

In reply to: [Presto Player] Not compatible with Embed PrivacyAgain: This is NOT about cookies. And GDPR is not about cookies only.
The links and argument you provide do not relate to what is happening here: Scripts, fonts and other assets are being loaded from YouTube WITHOUT the visitor’s consent.

In reply to: [Embed Privacy] Does not work with Presto PlayerHi Matthias, that’s good to know, many thanks!
I had contacted their support too, but in my experience US-devs often do not care so much about legal issues caused by their plugins π€·π»ββοΈ

In reply to: [Presto Player] Not compatible with Embed PrivacyThat does not help.
Even with this option enabled, the Scripts are still being loaded from YouTube and therefore harming GDPR-compliance (and performance), as you can see on this screenshot. Cookies are not loaded indeed, but that’s not the enough in order to comply.
The plugin mentioned above (Embed Privacy) is doing a perfect job in order to prevent illegal tracking. It’s a shame that Presto Player is not taking care about GDPR-related requirements, since millions of users and visitors are affected.
Any other solution you can advise?
Thank you in advance and kind regards,
SaschaMany thanks for your prompt reply!
“Is it possible that the website had another language defined when you installed the plugin?”
No, site-language has been DE_formal all the time, although I my admin-profile lang is set to EN. But the screenshot and testing took place in Incognito & also on second browser & phone too.
“Settings > Embed Privacy > Manage embeds for every embed provider.”
Didn’t know this, perfect, thanks π
