In reply to: [Wordpress Connect] [Plugin: WordPress Connect] facepileThe Facepile Facebook plugin displays only Facebook User’s who have liked your page – http://thomaskaufman.com/author/
But this number is currently zero
For people to like your page you need to add a like button (somewhere) with your page’s url. This is something that you can either ask the developer of your theme to do, or you can do it yourself with some knowledge of PHP/Wordpress. The WordPress Connect plugin provides API and documentation on how to add a custom like button here and here

In reply to: [Wordpress Connect] like button height expands too much in "twenty ten" themeThis is not an issue in the twenty-ten (twenty-eleven) theme so it must be a setting in the theme you’re using. You can adjust the white space manually in your theme’s css

In reply to: [Wordpress Connect] [Plugin: WordPress Connect] facepileHi, so I’ve tested the Facepile Widget (that comes with the plugin) and it works just fine. Could you describe a bit closer what you’re doing. Also, could you post the URL to your blog?

In reply to: [Wordpress Connect] [Plugin: WordPress Connect] facepileSorry, I’m currently away from the country and don’t have means of investigating fully, but I will have a close look after Jan. 5
Meanwhile, try to just use the “text” widget and generate the html markup manually at http://developers.facebook.com/docs/reference/plugins/facepile/
see if that works
Unfortunately, it is currently not possible to change the automatically generated og meta tags – 1.) 2.)
3.) I’ll look into this
4.) The Like Button url can be easily changed (for individual pages/posts). Have a look at http://wp-connect.tomasvorobjov.com/docs/#plugins-position:
basically open the post in which the like button is and on the right side in the “WordPress Connect” panel set “Like Button” to “Custom” and then simply use the [wp_connect_like_button href=””] – but you won’t be able to do this automatically for all posts/pages

In reply to: [Wordpress Connect] [Plugin: WordPress Connect] Newbie questionps you probably wanna enable at least “single page” and “single post”

In reply to: [Wordpress Connect] [Plugin: WordPress Connect] Newbie questionAgain you can read the documentation at http://wp-connect.tomasvorobjov.com/docs/#comments
or just give it a try (enable/disable them one by one and see which ones you wanna keep)

In reply to: [Wordpress Connect] [Plugin: WordPress Connect] Newbie question… that is not under the “display settings” there … this option is under the plugin’s settings: on the left side find “WP Connect”, expand it then click on “Comments” scroll down to “Display Settings” and there you should see the “Homepage” options (please note that the option is disabled if you have “Everywhere” or “Nowhere” selected)

In reply to: [Wordpress Connect] [Plugin: WordPress Connect] Newbie questionRight, it seems that your only option is to disable all comments on the homepage – http://wp-connect.tomasvorobjov.com/docs/#comments – make sure the “Homepage” option under “Display Settings” is not checked

In reply to: [Wordpress Connect] [Plugin: WordPress Connect] Newbie questionsorry, I wasn’t clear … when you go to “Settings” -> “Reading” and the “Front page displays” it tells you which page is set to appear as the front page (home page). Then you’ll need to go to pages and edit that page. When you go to edit the page (or any other page), on the right side there should be a panel called “WordPress Connect” – http://wp-connect.tomasvorobjov.com/docs/#plugins-position

In reply to: [Wordpress Connect] [Plugin: WordPress Connect] Newbie questionHmmm, that looks like you’re using a custom page as your homepage. What you’ll need to do is to disable the comments for that page. For that, go to Pages and edit the page that is set as your homepage – for details see http://wp-connect.tomasvorobjov.com/docs/#plugins-position – basically you need to set “Comments” value to “Disabled”
To see which page is set as your homepage, go to “Settings” -> “Reading” and see the “Front page displays”
