I did go back to permalinks just now and saved post-name which is what it always have been and now it worked. It was only the event links that were not working. but all is working now!

I looked further.. and the problem is the drop-down menu selection isn’t going into the database so the selection isn’t being recognized.
I realized I didn’t put that in the middle of the night! Thank you!
