You may know keep update of WordPress plugins is recommended. Directorist updated version is 8.5.10; But you’re using to much out of date version.
As this is your special case, you can contact Directorist support portal and create a ticket there. If there’s available any alternative solution, we will try it.Best regards.

You can set “Default listing status” from here: Path: WP Admin → Directory Listings → Directory Builder → General Tab
Default Listing Status: Select the default publication status for newly submitted listings. Options usually include Published, Pending.

If you are using shortcode to show listings on that page, you can update your shortcode.

You can customize the Search form from Directory buider. Add or remove a field from there.
