Thank you for your reply.
I have a static page selected, which is ideal.
I discovered a third party plugin is forcing the home page slug to display for the pages it generates. The rest of my site does not use the home page slug, or need it as you stated.
Thanks
In addition, I can rename the page and it changes the slug, however, I would like the yoast field to remain empty.

In reply to: Columns Block AlignmentHi,
thanks for the info. I switched the the twenty twenty theme and everything aligns fine so I think its my choice of theme that is causing the problem. I have written to them. If they cannot fix it I will come back to you.
Thank you.
Thanks for your help.
Must be a false positive as I’ve checked my site and run it through several scanners and all is fine.
Thank you.
Hi,
WordFence sent the email alert on 5th May, so no match.
I think it may be a false positive, not sure?
Steve
Hi Tim,
Thanks for your help. I’ve read that page and others and aware of additional SG requirements.
However, this is a Starter/template site, for creating new clients sites, so I’d prefer to not turn off Extended Protection on the master site, unless absolutely necessary? If I do this method will I have to set-up a new php.ini file?
I hammered the php.ini file and selected Disable All Content and Tables, and Deactivated, then Activated the plugin to get the site up and running again.
I guess the best option is to migrate the site as is, then reset WF by selecting Disable All Content and Tables, as the new site also needs a new licence key?
Thanks
SteveI should have mentioned. After migrating the site I thought I would reset WordFence and hope that changed the licence key.
I selected:
Delete Wordfence tables and data on deactivation
and then clicked on Deactivate, received this error:
Warning: Unknown: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in Unknown on line 0
Fatal error: Unknown: Failed opening required ‘/home/blah/public_html/wordfence-waf.php’ (include_path=’.:/usr/local/php71/pear’) in Unknown on line 0and the site is broken.
I’m on siteground hosting and have a php variable setup in php.ini
Hence, I need a better process for migration.
Thanks
Hi,
Thanks for the reply.
Oh dear, that’s a problem as Toolset Types seems to have been discontinued https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/types/ and not updated for 9 months.
Thanks anyway
Steve
Ahh… just found this on the main ww.wp.xz.cn yoast page:
The Yoast team does not always provide active support for the Yoast SEO plugin on the ww.wp.xz.cn forums, as we prioritize our email support. One-on-one email support is available to people who bought Yoast SEO Premium only.
Well, I guess one on one also means forum so bye-bye yoast. The statement should be clearer, it’s very badly written and seems to contradict itself.
That’s a worry. I guess thats why other SEO plugins are gaining ground so quickly.
I’ll wait another week and then jump ship/plugin if there’s no reply. There are some great alternatives now which include more free features than Yoast so if theres no support then there is no reason to stay. The best alternatives include the option to migrate your old plugin settings into the new plugin so the migration is quick and easy.
I don’t want to link to alternatives here but google knows the answer.
Does anyone know how long it usually takes Yoast to respond to these type of questions?
Thanks
Hi Yoast,
Any news is good news?
Thanks

In reply to: [All-in-One WP Migration and Backup] why impose server wp_max_upload_size()?I’m confused by this too. The free version seems very limited now and does not encourage me to buy the pro version. I was about to buy the pro version then read some bad reviews regarding the upload limitation so I’m not sure now.
My impression now is that you don’t need the pro plugin at all if you can update your wp-config file or one of the other options you list on your site.
I recommend you update your ww.wp.xz.cn page if you want to increase sales. Your page doesn’t even mention the Pro version. Surely you need a list of features for the free version and a list for the Pro version.
Thanks Borislav, I’ll try that.
