In reply to: My wordpress was hacked. Cannot log in anymoreNow, my site has been restored and all content and comments are there; I just have no way of physically logging into my wordpress account. That is still compromised. If I wanted to make any site changes, I’d have to do it through my CPanel.

Yes that would be great. I have been in contact with several times… they are going to try a restore, however there is no guarantee that it will work, since the hackers hacked into the wordpress portion of my site; not the CPanel.
So I’m willing to try everything possible.

In reply to: My wordpress was hacked. Cannot log in anymoreI am hosting my website through Lunarpages, but it is powered by WordPress. I cannot log into the wp-login.php page; it says my password is wrong, and when I try to have my password emailed to me, it says my email is wrong. This tells me that the hacker has changed email addresses. When I request my password by username instead of email, I get this message: The e-mail could not be sent.
Possible reason: your host may have disabled the mail() function…I’m sure what happened is that the hacker broke in , deleted all my content, and changed my email address and password so I cannot log in.
I have a backup of my theme/template on my host’s CPanel, however I do not know if I make a new wordpress account, if I will lose all of my comments and content and everything.
