Please go to the plugin page, then open the “Options” tab. From there, search for “adbc_plugin_settings” and click “Filter”.
Next, click the “eye” icon next to the value of the
adbc_plugin_settingsoption. In the modal that opens, click the “Show formatted value” link. Scroll down a little until you find:"security_code": "xxx"The
"xxx"value is the key currently used for the active folder.You can safely delete all folders starting with
adbc_uploads_Fthat do not end with the same"xxx"value.We will provide a fix to prevent concurrency issues during folder creation and ensure that only one valid folder is kept.

The security issue mentioned in the changelog affects only the Premium/Pro (lifetime) licensing system, not the free version.
To clarify further:
The vulnerability is not in our plugin’s own code.
It is related to the Easy Digital Downloads (EDD) SDK package we use to handle licensing and updates for paid users.Since the free version does not use this licensing system, it is not affected at all.
We patched the SDK to ensure everything is fully secure for Premium users.

Revisions are not directly related to the post itself, they are simply previous saved versions of a post, used to track changes and allow you to restore an earlier version if needed. Deleting revisions only removes these historical versions and should not affect your actual posts, pages, or links.
So, the cleanup of revisions (whether done manually or using the plugin) would not delete your posts or cause links to disappear.
It’s more likely that the posts/pages themselves were accidentally deleted or affected by another action. I recommend checking:
- The Trash section in your Posts/Pages
- Any available backups (via your hosting or a plugin like UpdraftPlus)
If the posts were permanently deleted, restoring from a backup would be the only way to recover them.

The free version allows you to list and explore database items (such as options, tables, etc.) using some predefined filters, which can already help you identify potentially unused data.
However, the automatic detection of orphaned items (i.e. data left behind by uninstalled plugins) is not available in the free version.

Yes, this is exactly one of the main purposes of the plugin.
Advanced Database Cleaner is designed to detect and clean leftover data left behind by plugins that have been uninstalled. This includes things like orphaned options, tables, cron jobs, and other unused entries that can accumulate over time and clutter your database.

Database cleaning must always be done with care. Removing items that are still needed by WordPress, a theme, or a plugin can break a site, which is why backups and careful review are essential. Even with a user-friendly interface, database cleanup is a sensitive operation, and selecting the wrong items can lead to issues.
Sorry for the confusion, but the statement about losing your license or being forced to pay again is not correct. Your LTD (lifetime) license remains valid and is fully respected. As an LTD user, you will continue to receive version 4 as usual, without any loss of access. Nothing has been taken away from your original license, and you can keep using the plugin as you always have.
