In reply to: api key confusionOkay, I just set up another username and password and again when I go to log in, it tells me it’s invalid.
I don’t think it’s me anymore.
There’s something wrong here.Forum: Plugins
In reply to: api key confusionI can’t. It tells me I have an invalid username.
You know, I used to program websites. It’s been a while but I’m not clueless. If I can’t set up a password and a username, they’re making this too damn difficult.Forum: Plugins
In reply to: api key confusionOkay, I figured out part of the problem.
I was logged in with a user name–I’ve already got a wordpress.com blog that I’m not going to use anymore but it saw that and wasn’t offering me just a username. I’ve just opened a new account with a different username and email.
Shouldn’t I be getting an email with the API key now? It hasn’t arrived.Forum: Plugins
In reply to: api key confusionHow?
It asks for a blog address.
I must be incredibly dense–sorry–but I don’t see any option to get just a username.Forum: Plugins
In reply to: api key confusionRight, an account, sorry.
But when I try to sign up for one, it gives me the option of starting a wordpress.com blog or paying to have them set up a domain for me. Neither of those is what I need, I just need the API key to run the stats plugin. What am I missing here?
